Hello, My moderator could modify/edit the calendar, but not any longer??
I don't recall changing anything, but if anybody knows how I can get the moderator to be able to modify/edit the calendar, please let me know.
Right now, the moderator can post to the calendar, but if there's a mistake, he can't go back in and edit the calendar.
Thanks in advance

Ok, we aren't talking apples to apples here. I'm editing the Moderator. These options don't show up to allow or disallow. Nothing regarding Calendar is on the list to allow powers for?

Here's my list of options for the Moderator: Bump Threads: Make Announcements: Sticky Threads: Move Threads: Delete Threads: Delete Posts: Modify Posts: Lock Threads: Reply to Locked Threads: Lock Polls: Advanced Moderation Mode: View Poll Voters: View IPs: thats my list exactly in that order. Nothing for Calendar? ?? Does it matter if I have their powers limited by a yes or no on the previous page? I just checked the Glogal Moderator and it shows the Calendar Options, so does the Adminstrator. But I guess the Moderator doesn't have those options?

Last question. A moderator will only have powers on the Board you make them a moderator?? Right.
they can't do anything on a board that they aren't a moderator?
Thanks

Thanks That's what the limited powers are for, if it's set to no then they have powers everywhere, if it's set to yes then only in boards they're a mod of.

Ok, I have it set to no, but if its set to yes, then the calendar option doesn't come up???
Are you saying that a moderator can have whatever powers I assign on the whole forum or just where I make them a moderator.
Or can I have the limited powers option set to no, then the next page limit the powers there, like I'm doing for the Calendar?

Ok, I have it set to no, but if its set to yes, then the calendar option doesn't come up??? Yeah... I don't like that either, but it still holds true - mods, if they only have powers on certain boards, can't have any non-board powers. Are you saying that a moderator can have whatever powers I assign on the whole forum or just where I make them a moderator. Depends on what 'limited powers' is set to. Or can I have the limited powers option set to no, then the next page limit the powers there, like I'm doing for the Calendar? That would give them powers to do whatever you put (e.g. modify/delete/lock/move threads/posts) on all boards.

I wanted to have the moderator only handles certain Category. Not any category.
So does this mean, I must limit the powers to yes, and then not be able to allow the moderator to modify/edit the calendar?
Thanks again

REgular moderators will only have the powers in whatever board they are made a moderator of. Global Mods will have powers everywhere.
If you chose to NOT limit powers for a regular moderator, they will still only have mod powers for that one area. Not the entire board. And they can still mod the calender.

Different topic, but maybe you know the answer to this also?
I want to create a High Roller Section on the Forum. Creating the board is easy enough. DONE Now I wasn to assign certain members of the forum as being a High Roller, no problem, I created a new group.
Now here's the problem: Now that I've created this group. I only want to be able to send just this group information only. It doesn't appear to be possible. I've tried to figure this out before. I can't pm or email just this group only?
