Group Tagging

I would love to have a way to tag a group of people all at once (staff, committees). For instance @.committee would be replaced with tags to @.joe, @.bob, @.lucy (without the dots of course). I imagine "committee" would have to be a restricted username so that no one could use that tag for a single person by accident.
