Is it possible or can easily be made possible to attach a picture to the bracket instead of or along with text? As mentioned I'm running a racing site and it would really speed things up if we could post our time slip instead of writing all the info.

I think to make this work you would simply need the ubbc menu to apear inside the bracket so when a user clicks on the text fill bar bracket they could either hit the insert image icon or the add attachment and insert the picture on the bar instead of or on top of the text. I like the idea of add attachment to make it quick and easy for the user to post without taking time to download to the third party site first and to make the image small and clickable. I saw the postimage plug in and thought maybe that could be used somehow as well. The ladder would be removed after the race and all info set into a table just as we do now so that file space wouldn't be off the chart. Putting a ubbc editor in there isn't going to happen. There us so much overhead involved with that already and it's very time consuming. I will see what I can do about allowing images , but I won't be allowing straight HTML because of the security risk

Thanks so much, any option for posting a pic will be welcomed. It would be nice to do it as an attachment as this game can only be played on an iPhone or iPad so inputting the pic right from the device with out the need to go to a third party would be very helpful.
Knowing very limited amount of html and css, is making it attachments going to run you into the html security problems?

I cant access the attachment system of a post from within a plugin. the only way I would be able to do it would be to allow a URL to an image already existing somewhere. the attachments is controlled by PB software.

It sounds like the postimage plug in may be my best route then, thanks for the help in getting this done.
The plug in says it only works with the ubbc editor, I guess I'll wait and see.

where does it say it works with UBBC editor? All data is stored as text, so the UBBC parser never even sees it. html would be easier, but I have to put in stuff to keep someone from adding script tags and other malicious content in order to get around built in security

Right here in the about tab. I see where you were with that question, I was talking about the postimage plug in only using ubbc.

Wormopolis, ok I just read all 12 pages and didn't see my question. I installed and set the permissions so that only the admin can write to the plug in. But, when I used my test account with no permissions, I was still able to access the bracket tab and create a bracket. Am I using the plug in permissions incorrectly? trueblueliberty.com/

did it let you save the bracket? what are your key permissions set to? Yes it did save it and it did create a thread with it, with a bracket inside the thread. I since deleted it. I had set the permissions to everyone can read. I did a custom so that only the admin can write. But, it allowed my test account to save and create a bracket thread. Now, I noticed when I went back to get the permissions for you that there was a checked box for letting members write to their own posts. I unchecked that and tested it again. It let me create a bracket, but after saving, the thread was created but empty. Any way to prevent people from creating empty threads by making the bracket tab only visible to those with the permission to create or write?
