I'm not seeing the plugin installed at all on that forum, so I'm not seeing the issues you're describing. The border issues is a layout template problem that has nothing to do with the plugin. It's because you haven't commented out this line in Themes > Layout Templates > Board > Board List.

Wow, thanks for the fix with the black line it worked perfectly. I had removed the v4 news plugin because it didn't work and when I did get the image it blinked. I have put the plugin back in, but I can't even get the image to show up anymore

I have put the plugin back in, but I can't even get the image to show up anymore You need to enable the News Feed on your forum via Settings > News Feed before the plugin will show anything. You also need to enter at least one headline.

Also, change the code I provided you previously to this as the background is currently repeating (I'm on a widescreen monitor).

OK how's that? Also, one more thing. How do I get the default text on my site to be bolder?

Tried that with no luck You should post in the Templates board then. Be sure to specifically cite which text on the forum you're trying to bold.

Donno what I screwed up this time but something is wrong lol el-iron.proboards.com/I cannot figure out for the life of me why that's happening. For some reason the browser renders the regular news feed with a display: block; CSS property after it's hidden (causing it to show again), but when I remove the line that hides it it doesn't contain any inline CSS at all. I've gone ahead and edited the source code of your copy of the plugin to hide the news feed no matter what.

After having a poke around one user's forum I discovered the settings for the speed of the regular news feed can easily be referenced via a variable in the head of the page. I've updated the plugin to version 1.1.1. This should eliminate the need to specify a speed in the plugin settings, as it will now use the speed you specify for the regular news feed.

jrryan, I'm not sure I follow. If you move the smiley down it's probably going to end up in front of the line, unless your intent is to move the smiley so that it's riding on top of the words.
