V4 News Fader 1.1.2

Brian  how do I put this on every page of my site? I read somewhere else you could change something in the code to do it. Thanks.

This isn't possible in the latest version of the plugin (1.1.0).

However, you can do it in 1.0.1 (still available for download from the plugin library via the Version Selector dropdown on the right) by going to Plugins > Build > V4 News Fader > Components, clicking the Global button on the right, then moving the contents of the Main Header & Footer box to the Global Header & Footer box on that same page. Once you save your changes the plugin will show globally.

Here's the copy I have saved to my personal Dropbox. You'll have to install it manually from Plugins > Manage but it should work.

Are you changing the speed in the News Feed page of your admin area or the plugin settings? You need to edit the plugin settings to control the speed of the news fader, as it's impossible to get the speed setting from the admin area since there's nothing on the page to reference.

You can refer to this post on this same page for what to place at the bottom of your style sheet to change the font size:

Try placing it in Structure > Headers & Footers > Main Header between style tags.

The number in green can be changed to a larger or smaller number depending on how large you want it.

I tried putting it in several places with no success here is a pic of what is in my main header

That's the plugin's components page, not your forum's headers & footers.

My post said to go to Structure > Headers & Footers > Main Header and paste the code there.

I am trying to add an image from a webpage as the background of the news fader and I don't know how. In v4 I had a code in the headers that did this, but in v5 the image blinks.  Is there a way to sstop the fader from blinking completely?

Not sure what you mean by it blinking, but this will add a background to it.

This goes at the botton of Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Style Sheet on each of your themes.

.v4news > .content { background-image: url(URL TO IMAGE); }

Substitute the text in red with the link to your image.

this isn't working for some reason. Perhaps I don't have the setings correct in the news feed? Should I have anything in the headlines? Also I tried to install the V4 news fader plug in, but if I get the image to show up, it fades out and on as if it were text and the whole forum blinks when it does. Should I delete the plugin?

Also please notice that the border lines do not reach all the way to the title bar and there is a black line on top of the icons to the left.  Is there anyway to get rid of those like in v4?
