Hiya, Brian! *sigh* I just realized that adjusting the padding height of the news fader through the plugin adjusts it for each and every of the 70+ themes I have and not just that particular one I was working on!

I guess this just isn't going to work the way I expected it would.

All height specifications and whatnot are done through CSS in the plugin. If you want to override the height on a certain theme you can add a height property to the #fscroller element's CSS.

#fscroller { height: 60px; }

If it doesn't work at first you can try adding !important before the semi-colon. Be sure to add a space before it.

Yes. Add this in the same area as the other lines you added to the plugin.

fContent.push('YOUR TEXT HERE');

You can swap out the word in red with unshift if you want the line to be at the beginning instead.

When I did that, it took the news fader out of the container box and into a separate box... 

I fixed it just by changing the original codes for the newest user and latest post from unshift to push... derp.

Hiya Brian! It's the pest again.  I'm wondering if it's possible to have the title bar to the V4 news fader have a different image background than the rest of the titles on the homepage. Right now, I think the News title bar image is lumped in with all the others through the Visual Editor. I'd like it to be different if possible.

Yep. Use the CSS selector provided in the first post of this thread.

.v4news > .title-bar { background-image: url(URL TO IMAGE); }

Hi Brian, I'm using version 1.01 because its better for me and have read and sorted out how to make it appear on every page with the global instructions you provided, I have one custom page (maybe 2in a while) that I dont want it to show on because I want them almost blank for a list of things, is there a way to stop it showing on just those 2 pages?

Add this to the top of the HTML tab in the custom page editor for any pages you don't want it to show on, mrdoe.

Hi, first off, awesome plugin! Much better then the v5 one

On page 17 there is a post about adding a welcome text for new members and latest post.
What i would like is to only have it welcome the new members and leave the latest post out.
I have tried many different things but when i remove the latest post part, it doesn't work at all anymore.

Could you pls show me what to do to have only the welcome xxxx text?
