Is there any way that the news can be displayed on every page of the forum? Or at least just the home/thread/board pages? You'd have to use version 1.0.1 for that as every version past that works off of the news feed which is only visible on the home page. support.proboards.com/post/5715878

I'm not seeing the code that needs to be replaced in the plugin (1.12) that allows a message to returning members Brian.

If this was already asked and answered, I apologize. I didn't see it when scrolling through the thread. In v4 I had the fader say "Glad to have you back (user's name)". Is this possible to add to the fader? Also, is there a way to have it show calendar events if any exist that day? Thanks! If this was already asked and answered, I apologize. Also, is there a way to have it show calendar events if any exist that day? Thanks! Calendar events currently aren't available on the home page, so it wouldn't be possible to grab their information in any way. To add a welcome back message, go to Plugins > Build > V4 News Fader. In the Components tab, find this line: And change it to this. I'm not seeing the code that needs to be replaced in the plugin (1.12) that allows a message to returning members Brian. That code was for an older version of the plugin. Now you can just add this to the top of Themes > Layout Templates > Home.

My bad, I made a common mistake. I edited the code in my post. Try that instead.

This is awesome - great to be able to imbed vars and html links - is it possible to increase the permitted char length for the Headline fields in Admin Settings > Settings > Forum Settings > News Feed to allow for pre-resolved code/link values?
For example - this:
<font color="brown">NEW MEMBERS - why not <a href="http://www.southernwaoutdoors.com.au/post/6905/thread"><b><u>INTRODUCE YOURSELF</u></b></a> - Need an Avatar? - Then <a href="http://www.southernwaoutdoors.com.au/post/7/thread"><b><u>Read This</u></b></a></font>
truncates well before the end tags.
