constant error messages

We are getting constant error messages when we try to make a post, edit a post or even just switch from the preview tab to the BBCode tab.

Many times when trying to post or save changes to a post we are editing it will just refresh the page and say that we have not entered any content into the post. When this happens while trying to save the changes to a post, it will refresh and remove the changes we made when giving us this message. When trying to create a new post, it will sometimes delete all the content in the post as it refreshes and gives us this message...thus entire posts are being lost.

Other times when trying to post or switch from tabs it will throw up an error pop-up...it's really annoying since it takes like 3 to 5 tries just to post or edit something.

Do you buy chance have the Yootil plugin installed and enabled? Try disabling that, and seeing if you still get the error.

Yea we are using the Yootil plugin, won't disabling it effect the other plugins that need it though?

It's possible, but the thread that Stinky666 points out that some members experienced the same issue until that plugin was disabled, so it's possible that the same could be said for your forum as well. The plugin creator is looking into it

Our forum, townsquareexiles.boards.net/, doesn't have the Yootil plug-in and my members are getting frustrated.

I've recommend they leave Chrome (for now, although most prefer it) and use FF.

CheatAreZee, Yootil has nothing to do with our Chrome issues.

Chrome might be having a problem of its own then, because I am using FireFox and we are using the Yootil plugin

Your chrome issues also have nothing to do with the issue described in the opening post. He's not speaking about the no data received or timeout errors, but a message that notes "you must enter a message" when a message has in fact been written

We're getting those, too. That's why I posted here. I also posted this in a few other threads that have the same subject.   support.proboards.com/thread/467246/message-error

Thanks for clarifying ♥ ℒʊ√ ♥, that particular issue doesn't seem to be specific to Chrome which is why I was originally thinking you were referring to the other Chrome issues. Do you experience this yourself as well, or just the members? Do you happen to notice any particular pattern with the message to try and re-create it?

I've experienced it myself, Ricky. I don't have any Chrome issues on your support board. Just my forum. So I have taken to using FF more and more. I start out with Chrome and when the first issue appears I leave.

If memory serves me, it's the switch over from the BBCode editor to Preview ~ which is what I normally do before posting because I have pre-sets for my posts, so I want to see the preview before replying. 

Sometimes, the back button will retain the post and on the second try it works. 

Sometimes, the back button doesn't work and the post is lost.

Sadly, the draft enabled feature doesn't seem to work in these instances.

Heh ok so.. I have Yootil enabled, and in the thread/post this kept happening to me with, it no longer does it. Neither in Visual or BBCode.

I always work on my posts in BBCode, though sometimes when I do try to preview a post it will throw up an error message as well. This is only happening on my forum though, I'm not having any issues here on support.
