Is there a whisper plugin available?

I just tried the code on my forum - the dialogue box comes up fine, but the user I've whispered to can't see the text after I've posted it. The post seems to be blank for everyone. Am I doing something wrong?

Make sure you enter the member's USERNAME, not display name..

If it's still not working could you please link me to the post where the whisper is not displaying.

You're right, I was using display names. Durrr.

Could everyone please hold off using this for the moment.. There's going to be an update that may render existing whispers non-functional.

Here's the updated version of the plugin..

It IS compatible with your existing whispers, so all is good in that respect. Unfortunately, whispers, at least for now, will now be hidden in the visual side of the editor, I'm working to fix that. Just remember that if you create a whisper in the Visual side of the editor the whispered text will disappear, but it IS still there.

So the consensus for this is that it's hidden for mobile app effectively but Quote still exists on mobile app if they want to quote and check? And layout template modification will not affect it--even if I entirely remove the Quote variable?

Yup..

Posted whispers should not be visible to mobile app users.. The only way whispers should now be visible, unless you are the 'whisperee', is when quoting a post using the mobile app. There's simply nothing I can do about that.

You do not need to add anything to the forum CSS with this version either, BUT, if you have existing whispers made with the previous version, the CSS addition should be left in.
