Cloudflare Error 520

David Clark I spoke too soon as well, I just got hit with another 520 Error on the forum I run. Identical to the one in my first post.

EDIT:Just as a side note, I have been browsing another forum and have yet to get a cloud-flare error for most of the evening however on my own forum, its rather persistent and is at present occurring at least once in every 5-10 page-loads if not fewer at times.

On my forums evthreads.proboards.com and jetmotocentral.proboards.com we've been getting the same error. I don't get it very often but some of my members get them much more frequently. They are out of Pennsylvania and I'm out of NJ [just mentioning this in case location might help]. Often the Host at the far right isn't the forum I'm on and it will say some other PB forum's name.

I am going from a relatively happy ProBoards administrator to a pretty unhappy administrator because of this issue. Lots of reports of it, Boston, Philly. Some users are reporting it up to 50% of their attempts to do anything (view, reply) and I personally see it about on 25% of my requests to my own forum!

Just creating an account to post this reply I saw the error 4 times.

Whoever CloudFlare is -- bad choice of hosting provider. I hope your team can resolve this very quickly as it is a huge quality of service loss!

EDIT: re-read the thread and would like to also comment that this has been going on for weeks.  Just kept hoping it would go away, and finally made it here!

We are experiencing the 520 error on my forum as well. Gbckthunderdome.proboards.com.

Also, it just came up for me when I was trying to login to post this. Has happened today and over the last few days while browsing other forums, as well.

I've had it almost 10 days...guys say they're working on it..

odd thing is today its not at my site (so far today) but happened logging on here...

Just got the 520 -- Newark. It was only momentary, and then the connection came back after about 30 seconds.

I also have a user who is experiencing CloudFlare error 520, Ashburn. He says it has been happening intermittently for about a month now.  It is not constant, he is still able to post.  pancakewrestling.proboards.com

The problem was identified (and hopefully mostly fixed) yesterday when a wonderfully bright Australian Cloudflare employee came online. Errors may still appear, but should hopefully be decreasing in frequency.

I want to update to 5 but not if this is never going to stop...

between the 520 and othre cloudflare its been almost a month I've had to fight...and whats really annoying is the others don't get it..just me the admn.

Update!

Cloudflare has identified the source of the problem. However the complexity of the problem is...breathtaking. The basic outline (without making things too confusing) is that they're dealing with a fundamental conflict between two ironclad rules. The resolution is basically "rewrite the rules of the internet" which isn't nearly as easy as it sounds.

We've been given no time estimate on a possible "fix" but they are still working on the issue.

hi mike... I just went to site and its been updated... I didn't want that...
and now 520 is worse, and I have a board I didn't want, and no clue how to fix stuff like colors..
