Forum URL: http://.proboards.com
Just a quick question, is hotlinking from other sites alllowed on Proboards? I can't find any mention of it in the T.O.S., and I've tried this forum's search function but it keeps timing out on me.
Thanks.

Or you may find funny things happen to your site if the place you are hotlinking from finds out first. Read more here: altlab.com/hotlinking.html

Hotlinking means stealing someone else's bandwidth you did not get permission to use. Read all about hotlinking at this link. altlab.com/hotlinking.html

Thanks for all the answers. It may be a good idea for Proboards to actually state it's not allowed in the T.O.S. Just saying it's covered by "illegal activities" in section 3B is pointless. "Illegal activities" could mean any number of things. It's a bit like saying "there's illegal stuff you can't do on the boards, so don't do it!". Kinda leaves you scratching your head....

The illegal list would be too long, and would people actually read all of it. That's why the support board is here, to ask about specifics.
