well I can recreate the double bar thing. apparently my efforts to make recent posts work correctly I caused a bug in regular view. so I am working on that. I havent been able to reproduce the non-postcount error. so NO ONE is retaining tracking?

absolutely nobody. i'm just worried to touch it incase it pulls the few that we've managed to build up. basically i want to use the rpg bar for activity checks to see who is actually actively posting in rps so i know who to unsort at the end of the year.

well that thread doesnt have any new posts since you probably installed the plugin. the plugin cant fetch the last 90 days worth of posts from the server. it literally STARTS recording the day you install the plugin. this thread:

shows both those posts recorded activity...



what I did notice however, is that guests posts in some of your threads have caused the code to end abruptly for some reason, so I have to go back and investigate why that is. Im also trying to figure out why you are getting a double general bar when Im not getting that same error on my test site.

I solved it. I had some redundancy code in there because when looking at recent posts vs in board posts, there are different variables. I was trying to cover my bases to make sure all the bars were accounted for and it was running two scenarios. I also solved the guest post thing. so Im submitting the new version tonight.

Is there a way to have the activity bars show up in all boards but only track from certain boards? Right now, I have a general meter, an IC meter, and an OOC meter but having the IC only show up if you are accessing IC boards and the OOC only show up if you are accessing OOC boards is not what I realized it would do. At first I thought one of them was malfunctioning but quickly realized it only shows up on boards it tracks.

If not, no big deal, I just figured I would inquire in case it were possible =)

Also, I'm not entirely knowledgeable on CSS and I was wondering how to remove the black background on the posting meters and perhaps change the title of the meter to another color. I've tried fiddling with the CSS and haven't had any luck but I guess that's what ignorance gets you. Would you by chance mind aiding me there?

on the CSS info tab, use that selector in your forum CSS to target the div it creates. you will want to set background-color: transparent or whatever you are after. I defaulted it to black because color edges were hard to see on a gradiant and the text was hard to see if text color too closely matched the MP background.

will target font elements inside it



as for showing all bars everywhere, it wont be an easy change because the function either shows it if you are in the list of boards, or doesnt - then sets up the event captures for adding to the tracker. even if I could get it to always show all bars, it would do just that. there isnt going to be a way to show these 2 bars on this set of boards, then 3 bars on this set of boards.. then only 1 on this set of boards.. but dont show any bars on this set.. we dont like this set. oh but this board show all 6 bars because its important.

that just adds a lot of complicated loop-then-if statements in there that I dont really want to deal with. I was thinking of adding something to the profile view (since it doesnt have to worry about setting up captures) that would show all bars. would that work? or does it have to show all bars in every mini-profile?

And oh no, it doesn't have to do anything, I was simply curious. If showing all bars in the mini-profiles won't work, that's absolutely no problem. Showing all bars in the profile would certainly be handy, though =) Again, not needed, just might be a nice perk for the plugin.

Ahh, alright. So I just started messing with CSS yesterday so to say I am a beginner is an extreme understatement. Would you mind walking me through it a little more detailed? I went into my Layout Template for Mini-Profiles and went to this area:

The three things I want to complete are changing the background color to the hex color 75664e, the border around the box to the hex color 534430, and the text of the bar titles to the hex color 2d2821.

I tried coding it myself and kind of failed horribly... I'm afraid I'm just a little inept here.

put CSS into your forum CSS. that way you can make it different for different themes.
