so I just recently messed up and forgot to color my font before posting... I can't edit the post to color my font. Xenforo convos are pretty much private threads, which is much better than the traditional PM concept IMO... I think you guys should adapt to it.

PMs are private threads in v5. Hence you being able to add and remove users to the conversation at any time.
You can edit to color your font at any time.

You sure seem to enjoy saying how all these other places are so much better than PB. Maybe you should just stay with them?

Hey there DarkPikachu, The conversation-style PM structure is intended to behave like an email - once you press submit, it's out of your hands to change. Perhaps in future versions this structure will be revised, but I don't believe there is any solution that would allow you to edit PMs.

You sure seem to enjoy saying how all these other places are so much better than PB. Maybe you should just stay with them? I do it for the features. I'm staying with PB because it's free Xenforo is not, though can greatly be compaired to PB PB has the advantage of being free with only a few missing features that severely bamf it's quality compaired to other services. <:/ so, I'm telling you guys about these features to hopefully give PB a jump on the others. (because being free is so much better) I'm not harping on PB saying "how much you guys suck" or disrespectful stuff like that. I'm one for improvement where it's needed and can be achieved. (on top of conveniency) blame my disability if I'm sounding disrespectful. it's not meant like that, I can't help it. <:/ perhapse I should warn before-hand that I'm autistic and it's hard for me to word stuff properly w/o sounding like a 5yr-old. >_>

We appreciate feature requests, DarkPikachu. Some of the best additions to the software have been at the request of our users, so we always check it out if someone has a cool idea to share.

yeh... sorry I sound like an A when making these requests... XP (I do try my best to be as nice as I can think to be) ^ stress tends to get in the way, and I'm undergoing large loads of it. -.-*

As an admin, you CAN create private threads on ProBoards v5, DarkPikachu. You can limit who sees the threads and who can respond. Those posts you can edit and add attachments. This is more limited than your suggestion, but perhaps that would be an option.

hmm... alot of work, but I guess I could put up with it for now :/ though since you mention that... is a plugin to allow that kind of access possible?? I mean... private thread simulation... off topic though... you guys should try a Xenforo forum and look at the many features they offer it's definatly a site to see (no I don't mean build one) smashboards.com is a Xenforo forum they've recently upgraded from VBullitin, and the features they offer is definatly an upgrade. did you know Xenforo is actually built by a few developers of VBullitin.

hmm... alot of work, but I guess I could put up with it for now :/ though since you mention that... is a plugin to allow that kind of access possible?? I mean... private thread simulation... Why create a plugin to do something that comes naturally with the current program? It is like reinventing the wheel. off topic though... you guys should try a Xenforo forum and look at the many features they offer it's definatly a site to see (no I don't mean build one) smashboards.com is a Xenforo forum they've recently upgraded from VBullitin, and the features they offer is definatly an upgrade. did you know Xenforo is actually built by a few developers of VBullitin. ProBoards recently rebuilt its software from the ground up. If your suggestions require a major re-haul of the new software I suspect it isn't going to be implemented. Rather than fret about free ProBoards not offering the features you want, you are probably better off paying for Xenforo. In my opinion, constantly mentioning a competitor, let alone requesting duplication of its features, is a bit spammy and annoying. But that's me.

Totally agree, Celeste, which is why I made the comment I did previously. Only I'd add in that it's rude.

alright, then I apologize. I don't mean to be rude as pointed out by moonbeam. (thank you btw) I only want to help better up this service by making suggestions for future implamentations. the way I look at it: so what if the features requested are from competitors. though if it would require a re-haul, then I can cooperate and paitiently wait for the next update. (I can't afford to pay for services, so that's why I stick with PB) just because you're the best free service, that doesn't mean you can't get even better

I bet a whole lot of this software upgrade came from them. But maybe you could dial back the "so and so does xyz better" a little, lol.

oh that's where I went wrong alright I'm sorry I was trying to use that as a sort of constructive criticism, and then give you the resources so you could look at what they have, and then work your magic with implamenting their features with your own spin-off. but yea, I guess that's just my way of doing things sorry for trying to impose my methods on you guys.
