i am trying to find the smiley drop down plugin so i can attach it to my forum. or is that not necesary will there be one ?

i found it, should i see something on the forum? hate to sound so dumb. just a senior lady trying to learn something new and make the forum great.

That will happen, just take your time. It's all a learning curve. I'm learning too.

it says that the drop down is already installed. so i must have done it already. i suppose once i log on and start getting threds it will show up.

You have to list the smiley's in the box then click Enable and they will show up.

ADMIN PANEL >> PLUGINS >> MANAGE >> SMILIE DROPDOWN >> SMILIE DROPDOWN SETTINGS >> TAB/ SMILIES and SETTINGS >> Instructions are in there for you to list your smileys.

Then Enable that PLUGIN and your good to go.

hmm will look at it again. morning. is there a way to add specific things to the smilie box. since i have a horse forum. little horses. hay bales. pitch forks. or for occasions. like birthday, christmas. items. ?

You have to put the links of whatever smileys you want on your Forum into the the AREA I posted above.

So the links or URL would go into the PLUGIN Settings, then when you enable it, a smiley box will appear on your Quick Reply for you to use.

Do you have a bunch of Smileys that you want to use ?

I just found a bunch on Google using the search term Horse Smileys or Smiley Horse.

I've updated all, several times as a mater of fact. Installed the smilie management plugin but yet when I hover over the admin part I don't get anything.
