Advent Calender Change to V5 ??

So that's what it is - happened to me a couple of times...!!

Just a question please - are you going to allow admin/staff to view the pics beforehand (December or whenever)?? I only ask as I have to be up early to check that a pic is OK or I have a PM waiting that a pic possibly isn't showing - often just a comma missing, but annoying really.

I also assume (haven't checked yet) that I only have to set a pic size that I don't want to go over - a smaller pic, well is a smaller pic, isn't it..

I also assume (must stop that) that I can change the name if required - by that I mean..

yeah the link just has to have the class correct. you could put a picture inside it if you wanted, it doesnt care. the class is the important part.

the sizes are a MAX size. smaller pics wont be affected.

you want the admin to be able to open any pic regardless of day? that makes sense. I can make that happen.

It would certainly make it easier on my old grey cells...the first time I ever did the Adcal I woke in the middle of the night in a sweat and ran down to put the PC on, just to make sure the first pic was showing....

I suspect that it was that we tried to build it up - you know, make it exciting and something novel for the forum for Christmas - it was special somehow, 1st or 2nd Xmas on the forum and I wanted it to be perfect, spent ages and ages getting just the right pics as well...

It really did go down very well - people were often on very early just to see the next pic...now it has become an annual occurence and even in Summer I was asked if we could have it again!!

Hi Wormo - two questions please..

We have decided to have the Advent Calender as a sub and the Calender itself underneath, so - <div class="advent_calendar"></div>

So, I take it that I take the (<a class="advent_calendar_link">Advent Calendar</a>) off and take the tick off the Plugin for the Calender.

I take it that I add the images to the Plugin under "December"..??

OK - the top image remains the same I suppose - I mean the flower before I click on a date - or can that be changed - doesn't have to be though??

I would like to be able to see all of December whilst I am setting it up in November...is that OK??

Normal members will not be able to open the windows until the day - yes?? Once open they stay open as usual??

Cover image can be changed

As admin, you can click open all images

If you uncheck the box, then it won't use the forum calendar. It then needs either the direct placement option or the link option. Whatever you want to use.

So, I can actually start playing now, scream for help when necessary, and then make a sub a couple of days before 1st Dec, on the real forum, add the direct placement, add the links to the pics and Hey Presto - Yes??!!

How do I change the cover image - should I want to Wormo??

Go to the settings for the plugin Rosefriend - you will see you can add whatever url to your choice of cover image!
