Forum URL: everypbforum.proboards.comNot sure if I am somehow over looking this, or it simply doesn't exist. Where can I find (if possible) a layout template for "Polls"? I have some ideas I want to introduce, but I see no template for it. Please let it just be that I am blind.. ? If there isn't one, could you guys PLEASE consider adding one (so turn this into a feature request)? The default poll layout, in all honesty is boring and rubbish. I mean no offense to you guys, it's just this is the typical layout for ALL forums, and even most forum providers (I think?). They are just boring, so being able to drastically alter stuff would be amazing. Thanks

There's only so many ways you can display lines for the results of a poll? Not really surprising they all look similar [not the same]. For as much as you can edit, it is in Thread > Thread. So i'll put a label on this as a feature request

Then there's the slightly more radical/ridiculous and experimental stuff, such as Pie Charts and all that jazz. Understandably some wouldn't work, and even a full pie chart wouldn't, but a half-pie chart certainly could You have to admit, being able to have some sort of system that could be different to a simple "bar graph" that we are used to, would be great. I'm sure others would agree. I can't be the only one bored by the same look. And thank you

Just so staff see that others are interested, thought I'd pipe in and say I'd definitely love this feature. =)

But i think we are talking about different things, i think, personally, you are now going beyond the purpose of the polls on a forum. A bar chart is the most common method of displaying results because it is one of the easiest to interpret and understand. Most, if not all forums use that, and there are only so many ways you can display such a chart and so of course they will look similar. And whilst i agree that a pie chart may be an ok option to have, i don't think a forum is a suitable place for other 'radical/ridiculous and experimental' stuff, because they are mostly used in in-depth surveys, and not sure exactly how they will work on a forum. I'm all for being about to move things around in that area, however, which is what i initially thought you were referring to.

I currently have 3 other examples of bar charts that are better than the default. The more experimental and radical one, such as the pie, was simply another thought about it, to say it could look good and would work. If you can read a bar chart, you can read a pie chart, especially since you also have the percentages inside of it. And thanks CheatAreZee

Holy crap almost 3 years ago now Just want to bump this to ask if it has ever been considered, and if so is there any reasons for why it would be rejected? I know it may be a simple "if it aint broke, don't change it" situation, and whilst the poll layout works fine, it'd be nice to be able to properly edit it like you can everything else. Surely you guys and gals must get bored of it, and would like to see what everyone else can do with this? I know i would. It'd be truly great if you could all really consider this (unless it does now exist and I have not seen it - haven't been in templates for a looooong time).

As always, if a feature request is going to be accepted or rejected a developer will offer their input in the feature request thread, assuming they're currently looking for new features.
