Yep, I installed the 1.1.7 version the day you unveiled it. Sorry about not reporting sooner; I've seen that changes sometimes take days to be implemented and I was just giving them time to index.
If it makes a difference, I've also been removing every previous version of this plugin before installing the newer versions.

Just found another possible problem. Either that, or I'm just doing something wrong with tagging. The hashtags don't seem to be working as expected. I think I read that you need to make more than one hashtag on the forum to give the tags different sources to send you to once clicked, but I've done that and the tags now either don't show up in searches or send me to only one of the tagged posts. Case in point: I placed a #Marvel hashtag in various Marvel Comics character profiles, but once the tag is clicked on, nothing shows in searches. electricferret.freeforums.net/thread/231/norman-osbornThing is, I also placed a #DC hashtag in several DC Comics profiles, and the tag only sends me to our Doomsday profile. electricferret.freeforums.net/thread/239/lobo-dc-comics

keep in mind that my part in the plugin is just creating the hashtag. the search part of it is on PB side of things. there is apparently a list of words that it ignores in searches though. the forum might need to be re-indexed if search words arent found. they are still working on some of that. I had hoped to get around this by having it search for words with "[HASH]" as part of them to prevent common words or short words from being excluded. David Clark was telling me about the words in this thread support.proboards.com/thread/518990/re-index-requestI dont know if anything has changed since then.

I guess you're saying, then, that I made the hashtags correctly and there should be nothing wrong with the tags themselves, but the issue now may be the search engine needing another reindexing?
Heh, wouldn't be our forum's first reindexing. Thanks.

If the link is being created in the first place, then both you and I have doen our part. it now falls to the sphinx.
David said there is a list of words, but I guess if a word like marvel is on it, there may be a way to get that word rmeoved. you COULD also try to expand the word like marvelcomics or marvelmovies maybe?

I'm wondering if I could possibly prevent hashtags from popping up in div style tags. Sometimes it doesn't pose a problem but other times when I create a template with the div style tags it keeps turning all of my color hex codes into hashtags. It doesn't happen all the time but I can't seem to figure out the pattern. I tried placing a space behind what I can but I can't figure it out.

I ran extensive testing concerning hexcodes as part of style defintions. Can you paste an example of what you are posting so I can see the difference? I DO know that if you put a space before the hexcode and whatever precedes it it will still try to convert it. so if you make it
background-color:#AABBCC instead of background-color: #AABBCC then it shouldnt convert it. the problem is making it understand what its supposed to consider to be a valid hashtag. I cant just rule out anything that fits a 6 digit hexcode, because #abc123 might be intended to be a hash. yet it fits a hexcode as well. so I told it to ignore it if it saw =" or : or even http:// immediately before the # sign.

I originally had everything compacted together like background-color:#000000;color:#ffffff;text-align:center; and even then It converted. With some templates it wouldn't convert but others it did and with both templates I did both things - compacted and also with spaces - and I just couldn't figure out the pattern. Just to note though, with border's I can't really not use spaces because it doesn't work....unless maybe I do border-style and then border-width + border-color?
I also noticed that all of my templates posted before I added the plugin was fine but if I went to edit them or add a new template then they would convert. Thankfully most of my important templates are using the style tag plugin so they're unaffected but if people want to post their templates it may cause a problem. I readded the plugin and when I went to edit my template just now even with it compacted it keeps converting and when it does it keeps removing the : between the hex and background-color.
Pre-Made Template I'm using from Adoxography.

I run a primarily comic book-related forum, and I figured with things like issue numbers (ie Batman #314) etc there would be some unwanted conversions with this plugin, but I didn't foresee any real problem.
Then I did what I usually do every Wednesday, paste a list of the day's new comic book releases into a thread. It turned the #'s into unwanted click-able links, but no real problem.
Then I went back to work on the custom home page I'm making, which has at it's center a widget displaying recent posts. Only it's displaying what I posted like this:
All-New Captain America [HASH]1 (Alex Ross Variant Cover), AR All-New Captain America [HASH]1 (Blank Variant Cover), AR All-New Captain America [HASH]1 (Carlos Pacheco Variant Cover), AR All-New Captain America [HASH]1 (Kris Anka Colbert Variant Cover), AR All-New Captain America [HASH]1 (Paul Pope Rocket Raccoon & Groot Variant Cover), AR All-New Captain America [HASH]1 (Rae Sremmurd Custom Interscope Variant Cover), AR All-New Captain America [HASH]1 (Sara Pichelli Variant Cover), AR All-New Captain America [HASH]1 (Skottie Young Variant Cover), AR All-New Captain America [HASH]1 (Stuart Immonen Regular Cover), $3.99 All-New Ultimates [HASH]10, $3.99 Avengers And X-Men Axis [HASH]5 (Of 9)(Dave Johnson Inversion Variant Cover), AR Avengers And X-Men Axis [HASH]5 (Of 9)(Jim Cheung Regular Cover), $3.99 Avengers And X-Men Axis [HASH]5 (Of 9)(Sara Pichelli Young Guns Variant Cover), AR
Literally like over 400 #'s in a list all displaying as [HASH], and all un-clickable text. I don't really need for the plugin to convert those #'s into clickable links in the first place. I only really want the plugin to run on a couple of my boards, primarily for fan-art and fan-fics to allow for easy searching by character. Would it be possible to be able to select which boards it runs on?
And on a side note, I have a suggestion for the plugin, but I have no idea if it is even doable with the search feature. Put the #HASHes into some kind of a custom field, a HASH-Box if you will, and have everything outside of that ignored. Like:
#example #cool-idea #solve-A-LOT-of-problems-if-possible You are the brains that makes stuff happen, I am at best a humble idea-monkey. Would be cool if possible though...

Like: #example #cool-idea #solve-A-LOT-of-problems-if-possible You are the brains that makes stuff happen, I am at best a humble idea-monkey. Would be cool if possible though... So you have provided a good example of needing someway to NOT convert to hashtag. my problem is what is the difference? how would you tell a computer "Oh I MEANT for those to be hashtags and not those". I could try a minimum length clause but then if you had #123456 out of 1000000 it would try to still convert that if you set a minimum of 6. If we change the symbol used for hashtags, then it isnt really a hashtag code anymore. There IS the possibility that when you want to use the # symbol without the code seeing it, you could enter "&# 035;" where you actually wanted the symbol and I could make it never convert if the & symbol is immediately before it the problem with a "hash-box" is when you go to save the post the contents are still part of the post unless you use a key. but then keys arent searchable using the built-in search system. if stored in the post, it would have to add more content into the post to provide a way to differentiate what was tags.

Wormopolis I actually originally had them as six digits but every time I submit my post with the template they keep getting reverted to only 3 digits on it's own. Even when they don't convert them to three digits they still register as a hash.

in that post above, I gave a substitute for the hash symbol. type that into the post where you have a # and see if it still tries to convert.
