Forum URL: twds.proboards.comHey, does anyone know if there's a backup/storage area for sent emails? I went to my email provider and saw no sent mails (which were sent via the forum) I'm looking to send another email to two or more members again from the forum, but don't want to spam them. If this option isn't available yet, could it be put through as a request perhaps? Thanks.

Hi,
A little confusing. To clarify. Are you asking whether the email has sent or not?

Well I want to know if its sent yes, but also wondering if there is an email back up system? Where we can view all previously sent emails. Like an outbox?

There isn't that i'm aware of, but you could always copy it before sending and save it to a notepad document on your desktop

yeah. I sent an email sometime last week and just wondered if there was a way to have it show in my email providers sent box (outbox) is all. Because when sending an email through the forum, it uses our host. Rather than a proboards or alternative email address. Which would be handy to have a backup place for sent emails. But oh well. I will find out somehow if they sent or not if anyone replies.
I also sent one out earlier today. I might go pester someone who I sent it too, to see if he got it. lol if that makes sense.

I am not sure exactly how it works, but i believe it is sent from the server, just as coming from your email address [but not your account].

Just stopping by to confirm that it is sent from our server, and its just coming from your email address (but not your account) so it wont show up in the outbox. We currently don't have a way for you to see emails you've sent recently (as we don't store them in a readily accessible manner currently).
It's generally safe to assume that the email is always sucessfully sent and received. (Though obviously we can't guarantee anything because they could have blocked the emails.)

Michael, thank you for your reply. Would there be a way to store them, somehow on the forum itself then like with the PM system? Just a time and date sent, and maybe a summary of the content?

Hrm ok, Michael. So can this topic be turned into a feature request please? So that the need to know people can figure something out to implement this email (outbox) or if it would be possible at all? Thanks.

So that the need to know people can figure something out to implement this email (outbox) or if it would be possible at all? Thanks. I labeled this as a feature request. Since this doesn't seem like a feature that would get used that often by the majority of people, I wouldn't hold out too much hope though...

hmmm ok. :/
Like this thread people, if you want somewhere to store your outgoing emails on your forums. So you know when you sent them and who too or w/e.
Thanks Michael.

While it isn't a bad idea, it might be better to have the option to automatically CC or BCC your own email address.
