It occurred to me that you are the PB chess Master. Because you are probably going from site to site, testing the Chess plug in, you are probably playing several games simultaneously against various members. That make you the PB Chess Master.

actually no.. I have two games in progress currently. the one on your site and one against myself on my test site that I was only half-playing because I wanted to test castling. I actually suck at chess.

Todges Slot Machine Code could help you to use the built in messaging system for chess system play notifications support.proboards.com/thread/495682/todges-playing-slotsBasically all your doing is changing the page to /conversation/new/USERIDTOBESENT filling the information fields 'form_conversation_new' hiding the form page so it can't be modified finally setting a confirm box that will either click the send button on Yes, or redirect you to the previous page upon no/exit

Hey Wormopolis, finally got around to testing this out. So the new version works with my changed Create Thread code, woohoo! I managed to click on the Play Chess fine, picked who I wanted to play, and it let me drag my piece around (and the highlighting all worked). However I have moved my piece and am unable to push anything to submit it. I can't scroll at all on the page, it's entirely unresponsive, so I'm guessing I'm supposed to scroll down a hair to see the submit button and simply can't since the scroll is ignoring me. I had to write a new URL into the bar to navigate away since there was no cancel or anything. xD Anyway, my test board on my site is alcryst.proboards.com/board/156/suntorn-den if you want to check it out =3

When the pop-up is up that says "it's your move" with the chessboard, my scrollbar behind the pop-up, the normal scrollbar for the page, doesn't work. Just is unresponsive. So I can't scroll to see the submit button (I'm assuming it's at the bottom below my screen's visiblity) I use Chrome I might just be stupid but that was what happened when I tested xD

Alright, first attempt to use arrow keys failed, then I clicked on the pop-up and tried again and the arrow keys worked. Scroll did not work no matter what I did. So at least arrow keys work ^^ My test thread is alcryst.proboards.com/thread/345/chess-brady-talen-mythik-aureon and I noticed it tagged the opponent (talen mythik aureon gale, I think his username is talen) as "@ unemployed" (without the space, obviously). Unemployed is his Membergroup name, did it somehow mix up Group name and Username? Gonna continue playing the game out (since talen is my account as well) and will report any other issues. this is so cool I hope you realize

it might have.. it did that when I tested on your name as well, so I dont understand why its pulling group name instead of username.. I have to experiment more..

Could it be from layout template modifications? Or is it not working on basic test sites as well?

shouldnt be.. the data from username widget is supposed to be oblivious to template. I started a game on BLC's board and it worked fine then.

Tim Camarathis is weird .. I am using pb.member.select({title:"Choose Opponent",max:1},function(a){ getOpponent=a; and for some reason, when I look at the object returned on Elf's site when I select the admin as an opponent, it is returning the group name as the username instead of "admin" on my test site, it returns "admin" just fine... I stringified the object when I selected Brady as the opponent, and I get a[0].name="Brady" a[0].username="Administrator" a[0].id=1 a[0].group="" but I dont understand why?

I figured it out. The search dialog code does this when the done button is pressed: function(){ var members = []; $('.user-search-selection > li', this).each(function(){ members.push({ id: $(this).idFromClass('item'), name: $('.name', this).text(), username: $('.name', this).next().text().replace(/^\((.+)\)$/,'$1'), group: $('.name', this).parent().next().text() }); }); $(this).dialog('close'); options.onComplete(members); } Obviously this relies on the username being the next element after name, which isn't the case on ₪» ⅀ ƪ Ƒ «₪'s forum. I suspect that if ₪» ⅀ ƪ Ƒ «₪ were to make the username hidden with CSS rather than comment it out in with HTML comments that it would begin working. As a side note, I have no idea why the code was written this way. I'm going to add a bug to (eventually) replace this with something that doesn't rely on the order of the HTML to return the proper values.
