nah.. but you are probably going to beat me anyways.  I rarely win chess games because about halfway through I start to formulate what I want to do and then a few moves later stop caring.

It doesn't hold my attention long enough either. My dad taught me the basics when I was about 9. Basics. He skipped over the En Passant. I think he probably figured to teach me that later, but my folks divorced and I never played much after that. I'd hear of it over the years, but never employed it.

Something nice about the plug in is that you can take your time and not feel rushed. Think over your options.

When my son was in high school he was in the chess club, but we never played. He has wanted this one game... it allowed for 4 players to play chess at once. It adds and extra piece called the spy or something. I can't imagine it. Seems he took it to school but couldn't find anyone to try it out. At the awards ceremony I found it humorous that chess was considered a sport! lol I think they dropped the club the following year, probably not enough students were interested.

I get bored with it after a bit.

ok so BLC helped me find a condition bug I didnt account for (king in check by protected piece). so I will push a new version with a fix tomorrow. I also condensed down the huge double function, so I can add in a couple features (like Eton's black view and Elf's no-piece-moved catch)

at some point, Im going to make a companion that will store wins/losses and notifications for turns. probably going to borrow the quarantine notification system since I know for sure both people are on the page because they are tagged in the first post (that was by design I swear).

what version are you running?  What browser has the issue?

Hi Gibby,

WCA said he had that same issue when he used the Chrome browser. I use Chrome, so I tried it and couldn't stop the board from moving all around with the cursor, but when I moved the board down, the 'move' and 'forfeit' buttons appeared.

if the scroll bar doesnt work, I am still working on that. you can use your arrow keys to scroll the page down a bit to see the "I moved" button.

the pieces on the display board in the post itself dont move. you have to click "Its your move" when it appears above the board in order to bring up the playboard.

I just noticed I caused the "I moved" button to be disabled on the opening move.. and didnt re-activate it after the move... cause Im dumb. so pushing a fix for that tonight. sorry.

Hi,

A couple of unregistered guests have started a chess game with members but the board doesn't show.

Are guests able to start Chess games too?

guests cannot play the game. there is no way to determine if its a guests turn.

that being said, it also shouldnt be showing the play game button to guests.. but I dont think I put something in there to stop it...

in the meantime, until I push out something that makes sure guests dont get the button, you can either edit permissions to turn off the plugin for guests, or put this into global footer:

Ok, Wormopolis I have a question

I had to switch to IE temporarily and found that when I hit the its my turn button, I get a really zoomed in overlay of the board, which is awkward. Is that normal in IE?
