Believe me I love how well it cleaned up the mini profile, so much more content in the threads with out having scroll so much. How about a code to change the mini profiles border color when online versus offline? or even the color of the username? just something so at a quick glance we can see who else is online.

Im on your side with online/offline. I just dont want people to think its open season on asking for this and that and everything to be put back in. eventually it becomes me making a template reader code that does all the substituting and then someone wants to add if/then statements into it, then someone else wants a different template for each theme, then day of the week, then number of whiskers on an otter farm.

and THAT negates to the point of it making things simple.

but online/offline seems like one of those "go ahead and show" things.

I just found this plug-in and I totally love it. I read the earlier comments from this topic so I think that the answer will be no to my questions but I still have to ask.

Is there any way to make the real mini-profile to open up to left side instead of right, so that it wouldn't cover the actual posts? And also, would it be possible to remove the avatar from the actual opening mini-profile, so it wouldn't be shown twice? (it would only be in the mini-mini-profile)

I hope that you will understand what I'm trying to say, English isn't my first language.

adding an option to open to the left isnt a bad suggestion or anything. I just didnt want what was showing to get complicated. supposed to be a minimalistic view of used to be there.

Im not oppsed to removing avatar from full MP either. I need to work up a revision anyways to let you choose the stuff that shows in the MMP.

I really love this plug-in. I have wanted something like this for a long time. Thank you, Wormopolis.

However, I also have the Awards System plugin installed and the awards are still showing in the mini profile. There are a lot of awards and with them showing, it also defeats the point of making it smaller. Is there some way to get those into the hover pop-up, instead?

Also, I know you didn't want a laundry list or whiskers count request and I hope not to offend you, but just for the sake of letting my wishlist be thrown out there for your consideration, I decided I would share it.

Ideally, for me, I would only be able to see Name, Rank Name & Rank Image, Avatar and Status, because Ranks are really celebrated on our forum. Everything else is only a concern some of the time for some posters, so I am fine with the rest being in the hover box.

Whatever you decide to include in any future updates, it's still a really great plug-in option to have on the forum.

switch the order the plugins run.

the difficulty with rank and rank stars is that they arent explicitly labeled in the MP. they are just text. so if someone were to put them in a different place, there would be no way to find them. they need to already have a wrapper around them in your template in order for the code to grab the correct thing.

I have switched the order of the plugins and it only appears to work on some pages and then not others. Such as, if I click on the new button or go to the most current page of any thread, the awards are showing in the profile on that page, but if I click on any of the other page numbers in the thread, then the awards are absent on those pages. I am not sure why.

Thanks for explaining about the ranks. I haven't changed the location of the ranks in my forum, but I think I basically understand what you are saying.

in your template, surround the rank names and the rank stars with something so it can be found and I can get you something that will pull them into MMP


Todge might have to impart some widsom on why the awards are changing behavior on different pages. but if you have the awards run before MMP, then MMP should push them into the hover.

The latest version of the awards plugin uses a different method of finding the awards cell in the mini profiles.. So long as you have a cell with the class 'awards' and a profile link in your mini-profiles, it should work.

So.. Try updating the awards plugin to the latest version.

So far, my results with the Awards Systems plugin is that I have installed Awards System v 2.5.0 and the awards are currently showing in both the mini-mini profile and the hover pop-up.  Any ideas how to fix that?

I currently have the Awards system on top of the MMP, but I think it appears the same in either order.
