Leave page?

Sorry I don't want to post the forum address but I'm quite happy to PM it for someone in the know to have a look.

Ever since we started with V5 when you reply or edit it brings up what I think is the preview screen - you can't post on it, then the BB code screen, then another screen which you can post on but when you submit  the message 'This page is asking you to confirm that you want to leave - data you have entered may not be saved.' appears and you have to take the option Stay on Page, or press BBCode before submitting.

I know this isn't right as I'm a member on another couple of Proboards boards and admin on one where I did the work for changeover to V5 and none of them do that.
I'm admin on the one I'm asking about but not main admin, but the trouble is she's hardly ever around these days (we haven't seen her in six months) and people are getting a bit fed up with it, so the other admin and I are prepared to do what's needed.

I took a look and wasn't able to re-create the issue myself. But I see you're using Mozilla Firefox as a web browser, correct? If so, can you click the orange firefox tab in the top-left hand corner of the browser and then click the "New Private Window" option. In the new window that comes up, can you visit the forum and see if you still get that message when attempting to make a post?

I'm actually using Pale Moon which isn't quite the same, although it is FF based.
I found the 'Private Window' option though and yes, it is exactly the same.

Although, if it was my browser, wouldn't it be the same on all Proboards boards?

Sorry, Pale Moon is not a supported browser. Does the same issue present for you in normal Firefox?

I don't have FF at all now. It is the same in IE though, and you probably didn't notice my edit but it doesn't happen here or on other Proboards boards, and it does happen to other members, none of whom use Pale Moon.

Have you added any forum plugins or made any code changes since you started noticing this issue? If so, can you try disabling the plugins you have installed one-by-one and see if the problem goes away with one of those disabled? That may reveal the potential problem when doing that

It's been like that since day one. I don't know about code changes, that would have been the AWOL main admin. I didn't install the plugins but I'm able have a look at that.

OK. The first one I deleted fixed it - Spoiler Tags Version 1.2.6 and I didn't try any more.
I don't have spoiler tags on the one I set up but I do use one that has, perhaps a newer version?

If you were using 1.2.6 before, it does look like it's been updated to 1.4.2. You can get the update here and see if that helps

If you updated and the problem exists with that plugin enabled, feel free to bring it to the plugin author's attention in the official support topic for that plugin here and they should be able to look into it further

Thanks, I will. I've now disabled/enabled all the other plugins and that was the only one affecting it.
