Forum URL: weightlosssurgery.proboards.comIs it possible to bump one post to the top of a thread? I have banned members who have posted public research. I have pulled up that research myself and started a new thread with it. But, when I moved the posts to my new thread, my original post is at the bottom of the replies. This thread in particular at the moment, though I plan to repost all our studies and info in my name. Too many post deletions by bitter, moderated members. weightlosssurgery.proboards.com/thread/8600/vitalady-labs-targetsThank you for your help! Kelly

Is there any other way, when moving posts to another thread, to keep the post that started the thread at the top? It doesn't make sense that it would knock the opening, thread starting post to the bottom.

Hi goodkel, At the moment when you move a post from one thread to another, the placement of that post is determined by the timestamp. So if you move a post that is older than the topic that you move it into, that post will appear at the beginning of the thread. With the above said, I'll label this as a feature request for our devs to consider in the future

Well, at least that explains it. I had it in my head that the post that starts the thread is like an anchor and anything moved to that thread would be placed after it. Luckily, I stopped after one. I'll have to figure out something else.
Thank you for forwarding it as a feature request.
The easiest way for users would be for the thread-starting post to remain static, but the ability to bump posts would work, too.
Thank you for all your help!

I could see where the ability to rearrange posts would be abused but also very useful.. I personally would love the feature. ^^

I think that only staff should have the ability to bump posts.

I agree. =) Though it could still be abused to skew a conversation, some posts taken out of context can make the writer look bad and thus it could be abused. Regardless, I would love the ability. For recording purposes, it'd be quite handy
