Silly question time is there a way to remove the drop down menu for posts already present? Nope. BrianThis is a wonderful plugin that's been super useful, thank you! And of course a question. It's not big and just more me being picky, but is there any way to tag the NPC profiles and have their 'username' appear instead of the actual account's username? IE: Account A is posting as NPC B. Is there a way to make the tag (@ username) directed at NPC B specifically/that name appear instead of Account A's name. Since both a user and an NPC can have the same username I didn't bother trying to implement this at a feature. It can probably be done. Just be aware that if it does get implemented as part of the plugin nobody will receive a notification when an NPC is tagged. It's purely cosmetic, just like all aspects of the plugin. With that in mind, I anticipate it'll end up being a feature you can toggle on and off in case someone ends up having the same username as the NPC so they don't get tagged relentlessly.

Brian, Are these npc pre-created by the admin or does the user create them? If the admin creates them maybe we should make a form up so the user could tell us what they have in mind. And then we could use the plugin to create it.

Brian, I've been running a forum for years using NPCs, and this plugin makes doing so a heck of a lot easier. Everything is working just as I would've hoped, but I was curious to know if using an NPC when sending PMs is possible. We use random event NPCs that notify users through message, but noticed the plugin does not extend to messages. Is it possible to enable this function? Thank you.

I was thinking of adding that when I initially made the plugin, but that would require adding another plugin key to the plugin therefore taking up more keys on the forum out of the limited amount you can have without spending money on the forum. In addition, the plugin shows who made the NPC posts so I figured you might as well send the PM as yourself. I've never heard of RPing via PM.

Ah, well, thank you for taking time to respond. For the record, if that function were added in the future, I know that I would personally pay for the extra key space.

Yo So, I came across a funny bug. I disabled plugins until I narrowed it down to this one. So, when making a thread, or editing for that matter, it only allows you to select a letter, and when you do so and start typing, it replacing the letter and keeps going. That made no sense whatsoever. Here's a pic: My board url: globaldebates.boards.net/Feel free to enable the plugin and post around, I'm literally just starting up the forum, so if you gotta do something feel free. Thanks.

My plugin does not address the Preview or BBCode form in its code at all and should have no effect on the functionality of the posting area. Are you sure you didn't just hit the Insert key on accident when typing?

Heyas Brian I've hit an issue with using this since the upgrade to Forums.net.
Mainly the removal of the pbn bar seems to have made using this impossible as it won't show the option in any other location to switch onto a NPC account.
Or not, ignore me I'm possibly blind

Or not, ignore me I'm possibly blind I forget if we had plans to reimplement the PBN bar on Forums.net, but I remember David Clark mentioned working on a Forums.net plugin at one point that would add a blank PBN bar to the forum.

That sounds great!
I did manage to get it set up to show things but the PBN bar did make it easier!

Brian, Is there a way of adding a joined date to the profile?
