Forum URL: cafac.proboards34.comWhy cant I get onto this board anymore? Have been using it for 1 1/2 years with no trouble at all and of a couple of weeks ago, I cant get on anymore. Telus says it is a Proboard problem, not Telus and Proboard says it is a Telus problem! But when will it be resolved? Frustrated in BC, SusanS

Its a Telus problem. I am currently having the same problem on my 6teen.proboards25.com account. Telus won't access server 25 and 34 for some reason. I've been in contact with their technical support for the last 5 days Susans and still this problem hasn't been resolved. As per their request I sent them several tracerts from Grande Prairie, Edmonton, Montreal from both Telus accounts and their competitors. Now yes of course they're going to blame Proboards, but I've proven that its a Telus problem by compiling data. All of their competitors have no problems connecting (ie MTS, SHAW) and Telus cannot (ie. Cablerocket, Telus). If you want to do the same I suggest getting tracerts. To do this: START > RUN > Type "cmd" ("command" if your OS is later then Win XP) Then type: "tracert cafac.proboards34.com" Use this information when you contact Telus. If you accept what they say right away then they'll get away with saying its Proboards. Throw in some extra information like the tracerts and you'll have a better chance of being helped. I've seen at least 4 other threads with this same problem and it seems everyone has given up or been given horrible help and quit. I feel like I'm the only one going about this the right way and using my Computer Science degree to get the problem resolved. If you can get ahold of Telus and explain to them that you're not the only one with this problem and that its definately on their end then by all means help the fight. Best of luck Susans. I've been unable to access my board for about 10 days but hopefully you won't have to wait as long (although I'm sure your access would have quit the same day as mine)

Oh BTW if you really want to prove to tech support fast tell them to connect to proboards34.com from their computer. You can be more specific if you want and tell them to connect to cafac.proboards.com. They won't be able to. If this isn't proof enough for them then I don't know what is. Also it might be good to know they're tech support is Montreal. Thats 5 provinces from you Susans. Which means in my mind anyways, Nationwide Problem!

thanks for your advice - I did talk to the Telus techie and yes, he is in Montreal and cant get onto the Cafac proboard site either but he was adamant that it is Proboard, not Telus. I still cant get on the board regardless, but can read only through the Proxyweb site. I cant log in there though - it says I am doing multiple actions when I try. I also emailed them through their HELP site and they havent responded although they say they will respond promptly. I will try the tracert and see what happens. Thanks again! SusanS
