Hide some boards from new members until i...

Is there a way to hide some of the boards so that new members,
EXAMPLE:
Hide all boards and show only the "Apply to join" board so members can post there and if i validate them, they can access all the forum?

only if you limit access to certain catagories to "these validated" members placed in a special member group or group's.

modify catagories to allow access by certain member groups by checking off the boxes of the user group you would like to have access, by doing this -->admin panel-->catagories then create or modify the catagory

to make new member groups go to --> admin panel-->member Groups-->Create New Group
