The time zones were updates a few weeks back. What time zone are you in?

The time zones were updates a few weeks back. What time zone are you in? I've seen this problem too, and have it now. I'm in the UK. In order to get the correct time displayed I have to set GMT+0 in my profile, but the correct zone for the UK at this time of year is GMT+1 (also known as BST -- British Summer Time). Does that help indicate the cause of the problem?

The time zones were updates a few weeks back. What time zone are you in? I am in the Eastern Time Zone... and, after a little research, realized that during daylight saving time I have to switch from -5 to -4... it does not automatically do it for me... Correct? Thanks so much.

If you are using windows, goto your time propertys (double click the clock) then goto the timezone
You will see the option selected for the UK is GMT+0
Its just what people do. The descriptuion still says "UK etc", so from that standpoint it is correct

No surprise that Microsoft gets it wrong, of course, but I'd really expect better from others. The timezone in Britain now is GMT+1. Period. You will be assimilated.

In addition, because a large part of the world does not change their times, and that differnt parts of the world change time at differnt times of the year, come the next time change, the servers may not change, it may be a requirement for users to change their own timezone at the time when they would locally (just like you would your own clocks)
