It shouldn't be..
When a member edits their post, the avatars' URL is removed from the post and put into the input area above the textarea.
The avatar can be edited or removed there, and when the post is resubmitted the avatar is re-inserted into the post.

Todge.. I am having an issue with mine.. It worked perfectly in one post, but when I went to reply to an RP thread in a different area.. even though the URLs are different, it is showing the avatar I posted in the last thread. I've even got back to edit and posted the correct icon URL a few times.. no luck.. then decided to wait, thinking perhaps it was just being buggy and needed to sort itself.. I'm still not having any luck.. any ideas?

That is strange. The should be no way that your previously used avatar is remembered, especially in a different area of your forum.
I don't have a working computer right now, so bump this in a vew days, and assuming I have a new one by then I'll take a look.

I managed to sort it out! I dont know if it was the plug-in or human error... but I'm gonna go ahead and say Human Error. LOL

Hi Todge,
I love the idea of this plugin, however, I can't seem to get it to work. It installed just fine, but the images won't show up in the post. I use photobucket and tinypic to upload my pictures and they have different codes to use. Is there a specific code I should use for the image? Any help you can provide is much appreciated.

You use the direct link to the image.
I know Photobucket can be fickle with how they store your images, but have no idea about Tinypic, but both should work as far as I know.

Is there a way to make this work with the quick reply?

Hi Todge, Thanks so much for making this plugin. It's a feature that I have wanted for a long time and I was so happy when it appeared! It seems to be easy to use and is working well for us. The only thing is that for some reason, the post specific avatar doesn't show when viewing recent posts, or when using a direct link to a separate post only page. The recent posts view is less of a concern for me, but I need it to work on the link to the post only view. I have links going directly to separate posts on their own page, because linking to the post within the thread altogether takes too long to load the page due to all the images and vids in the thread. Anything you could do to help me out with the situation would be much appreciated. Thanks

There is now an option to add the avatar option to the Quick Reply box too.

Ok, I have updated to version 0.0.4 Everything appears to be working correctly now. I can see it in the Recent posts pages and my links straight to posts also show the post specific avatar. Thank You so much, Todge!

Hello again, Todge.
Sorry to bother you again, but the blank line to insert the avatar doesn't appear to be showing in the reply box today. Do I need to change the order of the plugins or something?
Thanks

It's possible.. All you can do is try it.
But there has been nothing done to the coding that would effect it appearing in the normal reply page, and unfortunately, as a guest I'd not be able to see it anyway.
I assume you are using FF?
