OK... So you do have the avatar field on the post editing page...

If you put an image URL into that field, do you then get a different avatar for that post?

the reason I want only staff to be able to use a post specific avatar is because if a user uploaded an inappropriate image on a post specific avatar I may not notice it if I don't look at that one post, whereas if they did that with their normal avatar I would catch it quickly ( what this plugin does is that it allows a user to upload an avatar that only shows on that specific post )



and my second issue is that the line where I should input the image URL isn't showing even when I have the plugin enabled.

That failed.
I do not know why I was not able to substitute one avatar for another.

I wanted to delete the rose and put in a different floral avatar.
That failed.
I do not know why I was not able to substitute one avatar for another.

The problem seems to be a conflict with the Smiley dropdown plugin.

Could you temporarily disable the 'Posting Templates' plugin and see if you then get the avatar field on the posting page, and let me know one way or the other.

OK.. Can you try moving the plugin to the very bottom of your plugins list and see if that helps.

..................So it turns out that it wasn't working because I hadn't enabled it in the forums and once I did that it worked fine. AKA I'm an idiot.
