Thanks for your reply, Todge. Yes, I am using FF.
I tried moving it up to the top, just under the Yootil Library and that didn't help, so then I turned off all of the other plugins and I still can't see the entry space. I wonder how I broke it.
eta: I have tried to look at all of the changes that I have made recently and I still can't figure out what I did. Really kicking myself for making so many changes at the same time, now. lol

Hi Todge,
I just wanted to make sure that my last post didn't come across a little snarky because it was not intended to. I edited my post later to try to clarify, but I am not sure that you saw my edit.
I still can't seem to trace down what is inhibiting the entry space from showing.

No worries, I never read anything that I thought to be snarky.
Can you remember the changes you made, specifically the ones that effect the reply page?

Oh, smack myself on the head. I reinstalled it as a last ditch effort and then I realized that I must not have specified any boards in the plugin components settings the first time, that is why there was no space to enter the avatars. Oops! How utterly embarrassing. I selected the boards, tried it out and everything looks good now. Sorry for troubling you unnecessarily. Hopefully, I'll keep learning. Thanks so much for your patience!

Hi Todge, Sorry to bother you again, but my favorite plugin, namely this one, is not working properly on my site now. Ever since the recent proboards troubles the last few days, the avatars do not seem to be appearing in the profiles and are instead showing up at the top of the posts. I have found that if I disable the Auto-Embed Image Links plugin, then the images do appear back in the profiles, but the posts also have the link to the image showing at the top of the post. There must have been a recent change of some kind because both of these plugins were working fine together for me up until now and the links were not showing within the posts. Also, in my theme with horizontal profiles, they do not show up in the profiles even if I disable the Auto-Embed Image Links plugin, and instead appear at the top. This wasn't working for me as soon as I created the theme, so I imagine the two problems are possibly unrelated. Here is a link to my test board with a post where I have inserted a post specific avatar. The default theme will have horizontal profiles. linkAny ideas how I can get this working again?

Try making sure that this plugin is above the Auto-Embed Image Links plugin in your list.
As for your other issue, that will be an incompatibility with your layout. Could you link me directly to a post that has an non-working avatar please.

thanks for your quick reply. Ok, I have moved it above the Auto-Embed Image Links plugin and I still have the problem in all of my themes. The link that I gave you is directly to a post with an avatar inserted. The image or link to it if you view as a guest, inside the top of the post is supposed to be the avatar in the profile. However, it is the horizontal theme as default, I can change the default temporarily if you need me to do so.

Could you please PM me your thread layout please.. I'll install it on my test site and try to get it working with that template first, then try and track down the conflict with the Auto-Embed Image Links plugin, if that plugin works how I think it may, it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

It shouldn't be.. When a member edits their post, the avatars' URL is removed from the post and put into the input area above the textarea. The avatar can be edited or removed there, and when the post is resubmitted the avatar is re-inserted into the post. Todge: Please assist. I have been testing out your plugin. I re-edited my posts for the purpose of just adding the avatar. The avatar does not show in re-edited and replied to posts. Under what specific conditions will your plugin not work? Does this plugin work only with newly created posts?

The plugin should work with all newly created posts as well as posts edited by you.
When you edit a post are you seeing the avatar field at the top of the editor?

I'll have to take a closer look. Unfortunately I'm away over Christmas and the New Year, starting tonight, so I'll not be able to do anything until I get back, at the end of January. Give me a yell then, and I'll see what I can do.

Todge I'm using the post specific avatar plugin, I want only staff to be able to use Post Specific avatars. But if I restrict the plugin to Staff Only then It's likely that regular members will not be able to see the specific avatar for that post, how can I make it so members cannot upload a post specific avatar but they can still see the ones the staff use. ( I want regular members to still be able to use avatars, just not upload their own for that individual post using that plugin ) the reason I want only staff to be able to use a post specific avatar is because if a user uploaded an inappropriate image on a post specific avatar I may not notice it if I don't look at that one post, whereas if they did that with their normal avatar I would catch it quickly ( what this plugin does is that it allows a user to upload an avatar that only shows on that specific post ) and my second issue is that the line where I should input the image URL isn't showing even when I have the plugin enabled.
