Forum URL: thenetworkrp.proboards.comI have a suggestion/request for a possible feature addition to V5, but it would require explaining a hypothetical situation first: Example: An active thread creates a new page for the latest post and you decide to use the reply button to make a post in the with all the bells and whistles (font changes, bold/italic/underline, adding different colors, etc) instead of use the quick reply on the thread's latest page. You want to refer to earlier posts, but the only post listed beneath the text box is the one shown on the newest page. Is it possible that a new feature can be added that ignores the page restriction and let posts from earlier pages bleed over for when you want to make an educated response, or is it not currently possible to do so? P.S. I also posted a thread for this in the plugins section, not knowing if it should be posted there or not, so if staff wants, they can delete that post to free up space on the server.

I have NO IDEA what "psychedelic insultment" is, but I'm clearly a victim of it!

You could simply go back to the previous page before you reply. Then you will see that page's posts so you can refer to them as you wish.
Also, if you would like the formatting buttons for quick reply, there's a plugin you can try.
Quicky Reply BBCode Buttons

I know that, I just thought it would be a helpful tool for proboards to have in their design. I remember my time on a PHPBB forum, they had a feature like what I was suggesting, never had to back out or use a second tab to look up older posts.
But that plugin sounds promising, I might just use that…I don't suppose it's able to recognize text colors used by previous posts?

It doesn't appear to remember previous colors. Or, at least it didn't for me. But I have a default bbcode set up so maybe that overrides it. There is another plugin in the back of my head that I think allows you to set up several personal font colors. Let me see if I can find it and I'll edit this post when I do.
OK.. I found it. It's Todge's Color Palette. I haven't tested it yet to see if it works in conjunction with the quick reply bbcode. ** Looks like it does- I installed it on my test forum, and now when I click the color selector in quick reply, I see the option to save the colors I choose.

Awesome, thanks for the help.
I still think proboards staff should consider this as an optional feature, just something to think about.

Hi R4ph89, I've marked this topic as a feature request for our devs to consider in the future
