Hello, i have the following problem: When i create a thread or comment to one and want to paste a hyperlink in it, the function when clicking the little symbol calls the "[ a href= ] [ / a ]".. BUT this seems to be the problem of complex urls.. I pasted a link and it was not successfully implemented just parts of the link were underlined or "clickable" after creating the thread/comment.. Can anybody help how i can solve the problem?? Cant the option be implemented again instead of the ?? I want my users to put links in VERY easily..but the links now redirect to a different page, cause the url is different than it shows.. Please help me.. THanks in advance.

Er- not sure what the problem is exactly. Are you clicking the "Add Link" button within posting? Or are you typing out the link? This is a proper link:
[a href="http://link.com/"]Title of Link[/a]

Commas in URLs won't work at this time, unfortunately, as they are not a valid unencoded URL character. By pasting the link into your post, highlighting it, then clicking on the button, you can specify any other text that you'd like to show instead in the "Text" field. Replacing any commas with a period (but keeping the original URL intact) should work, like this: www.xml-sitemaps.com/forum/index.php/topic.1218.0.htmlThe original URL has a comma, but I've replaced it with a period so it doesn't break the link.

I don't have any information as to when or if the developers will make this a priority to include, pitt, since links with commas can still be made, just not posted plainly. I've marked this thread with the feature request label so they know to check it when they're looking for ideas from the community, though.

URL's with commas inside them; while not specifically forbidden, are highly suggested against because commas are reserved characters for HTML (which is extremely common on web pages). While this is not at all a reason that we can't change the link parser to accept them, I just thought that I should explain that commas in links are not a common practice and are generally considered unacceptable in the web-dev community and this is the reason that it was not originally included in our parser.
