making some notes off what you have encountered so far for the beta version that goes out. thank you to anyone that tests this out and notices any weirdness.

on the list:

• default background for placing ships. since the stuff I had in there was developed on a white board, it is invisible on a black one.
  
• strip off url "scrollto" so it doesnt keep going to bottom of page whenever a dialog is cleared.
• making it save the number of shots choice when game is created so if it gets changed later in the settings, current games dont suddenly have more or less shots making one opponent suddenly have an advantage
• apparently if you have default BBC setup in your profile preferences, it causes the usertags to not get placed in first post.  have to figure out more about how that works.

It uses a thread key to store shots and game data and a user key to store boat locations.

I will look into having show boats on end game. Currently boat coords are only stored in the user keys

We have an issue in one of our games.  trueblueliberty.com/thread/6114/battleship-game-jjcc35-blc



In this image they have two hits on my ships that are incorrectly marked.



Now in this image, see that lone red dot in the bottom right corner.  I made a hit in the next spot to left of it.  But, when it was my turn again, you can see there is no marker there even though I was told it was a hit.  NOW, having said that, I went to make the same move when I was reminded that just a few minutes earlier, I had the same problem with a move in the chess game I was playing.  I made a move and when it was my turn again my move didn't take and I had to make that move again.  I checked and it stuck this time.  jj said he had the same issue with a game with anna today that he had to move twice on that game to get that move accomplished.

So, I don't know if the moves that are not taking might be a pb issue or what, but thought I would mention it.

But that first image shows incorrectly colored markers and I asked jj if he got a pop up saying he got a hit and he said no.

sometimes the boats dont re-display on the correct squares. if you refresh the page they will show up. the hits will register from the original squares the boats were placed however regardless of the boats re-displaying in the correct spot. rotated boats sometimes dont set their display coordinates to 0,0

its set to custom because user needs to be able to read and write to their own data.

possibly a notification plugin. but I did add in a feature that will show "your turn" next to the thread title if you look at the list of threads
