Can you use the same pop up/notification as for chess? Can they both appear in the same pop up? All notifications in the same pop up?

Can you use the same pop up/notification as for chess? Can they both appear in the same pop up? All notifications in the same pop up?

Chess notification key wont be usable for storing data for shootieboats.  would require a separate key.

Doesn't seem to show 'your turn' for me on discussiontime.freeforums.net/

If you click into the thread, does it say its waiting on the other player?

Ok. That's cool. I was just trying to think of a way to save navigation bar space.

The other issue is I would have to rewrite chess notifications to ignore data that belonged to a different plugin. becomes too messy.

though your concern gives me an idea that maybe a plugin could be written to combine several menu items into a single one that when hovered creates a sub menu below it. and if done correctly could allow ANY menu item to be added to it that would add to the number bubble that appears next to it. so if you had shootieboats, chess, and rankwatch, you could could have all three show up as submenus to a menu called "games" (technically rankwatch isnt a game, but it only shows to admin anyways).

That would be nice. I have all three that you mentioned and while rank watch might not be a game it does have a notification and the sub menu that you mentioned would help keep track or keep them all in one area without taking up real estate in the nav bar.

Wormopolis, I have asked others and not really gotten a definitive answer. I was told to ask a plug in developer so here I am.

Can you tell me if any of the plug ins count as or add to the page views of a site when they are being used? I'm thinking of the biggies like chess and the shootie boats in particular, but others as well.

Well if they visit the page where the game is being played yes. if AJAX calls are included, then any plugin that save data to a key does an ajax call. if you have a notification system that also saves to a key. reading a key doesnt cause any extra pageviews though.

development was paused while I worked on some fixes for existing plugins. plus I have the current issue with the drag&drop affecting boat placement and trying to add boats as attachments to posts. as soon as I get those fixes rolled out and the drag&drop working ok, I was going to resume.

you dont open it. you save it somewhere on your computer and then open it from the plugin import
