Forum URL: strongwindacademy.proboards.com/I know if you go into an individual thread and click to move it, there is an option to PM the creator, and to leave a 'This Thread Has Moved' message. However, what I'm looking for is a way to message all users that have participated in a thread to tell them that the thread has been moved. Preferably from the board itself to do this to multiple threads at once, but individual threads would work too. (I'm not sure if this is the right board to post in, but I wasn't sure if it was a question for how to do something already possible, or asking for a plugin if it's not already possible.)

Hi, This wouldn't be possible with a plugin, sorry. We might consider this potentially as a feature though! I'd like to hear more thoughts and feedback from the community though first, so if anyone has something to contribute, feel free! Edit: Also throwing the "Feature Request" label on this thread for our developers in the future.

Oh, thank you! I wish I could be of more assistance with the actual coding or what have you, but I'm fairly limited in my HTML/BBCode/Other Languages knowledge at the moment, so just along for the ride. Eager to hear what others think

I think it'd be neat to have. I have users ask me where threads are when I move them, so that'd stop me from having to tell everybody when they ask.

I've never personally used the "PM creator" option, or if I have it was so scant I don't remember, but despite my personal lack of use I could see it being very useful. Especially the larger threads people get. I think of scenarios like this:
You open a contest and everyone posts to "sign up" for it. After the sign up period is done, you move the thread to a new board and can click on the "send PM to all participants" option. This would then alert them that the contest had begun.
Beyond that there's threads where a lot of people were fighting and need to know the thread was archived due to their behavior, or a roleplay thread where one character went inactive so the thread got archived and the remaining active characters need to be notified that their roleplay thread is no longer available, etc. I can think of many other reasons that it'd be very handy on a wide spectrum!

I run a roleplay website, as linked, and I personally would find great use in it to archive threads and alert members to remind them to collect stats. Then move the threads again to a second archive for threads that have been collected, as well as moving threads that haven't been replied to in over a month to a board for that to remind them about it. If you ask me, the ways this could be useful are pretty large
