Forum URL: strongwindacademy.proboards.com/Is there a way to see how many posts a member has made in a particular range of days? And to go along with this, could you specify in only specific categories/boards, or even search for multiple members at the same time to count collectively? This would be very useful for determining member activity. Thank you in advance!

Hi Nahara46, Not completely what you're looking for, but visit your admin panel and then navigate to Security > Forum Cleanup. On that page you can select Posts & Threads Started, by a specific member, either everywhere or in a specific board, and then choose your date range preference. Once your selections are made, click the Calculate Total button and you'll be able to see the amount of posts and/or topics made by the specific member in the date range you chose. Simply leave the next page though after you view the totals, as this feature is typically used to mass delete posts from certain users. But it will give you the totals without deleting the posts so long as you do not proceed to enter the information on that results page. The above would be the best way to go for now, but I have marked this topic as a feature request for our developers to consider adding something more along the lines of what you're looking for in the future. You could also consider making a request in the plugin request area to see if something can be made for this, as that may yield faster results

Ooh, thank you! I was not aware of that clean-up thing as a whole, as I've never had a need to delete posts from any user on any scale Very helpful. And yes, I may do that!

Yes, thank you I believe I've seen that before as well.
It's very useful and I've used it before, but as it uses a superkey it's harder to use as both of our are currently in use. And we're needing something that is more search-able and gives exact numbers, rather than a visual. Thank you though <3 It's a wonderful plugin.

without a superkey to store the data, there is nothing that will work for what you are after

Really? Hmmm, Okay I'd have to think about it then, I'm not well versed on how keys and superkeys work, just that they exist and apparently some things need them?

keys are basically an additional 4K of data attached to whatever object they apply to. but they are limited by the fact they have to already be referenced on the page by the server. like you have to be in a thread to access a thread key (or on a page showing it listed). in the case of a user key, its 4K of data that only the user has access to, stored on the server so it cant accidentally be erased by erasing cookies.
super keys are more global. super user keys are 4K of data attached to each user that ANY person can access. which is why they are used for things like money and RPG stats and the like. because they can be access by anyone - the caveat being again that user has to be referenced on the page by the server.
super forum key is 32K of storage that anyone can access at anytime. so if you wanted something global accessible like an event or the last X posts, or the top X posters (ignoring mobile users), the this key would be your tool.
you are after something that keeps track of a user's posting activity over a range of days, so you can determine if they are actually an active poster. because of the fact that YOU need access to that data, you have to use a super user key. which is actually what the posting activity plugin does.
the rest of that data just isnt accessible from the server. you can get the total like you have been, but it doesnt break it down in any way that you could average a daily posting number.

Okay, thank you, that's very informative!
And I'm also not after any sort of daily posting number, what I'd be doing with it is finding out who has been most active in the past month, as we determine the nominees for our OTMs based on who was most active. What you've given me so far is pretty perfect, save for that it doesn't allow to look at multiple accounts at the same time, which just means it takes a little longer to go through things.
Sorry, I don't know if I've been very clear, I'm very new to the tech stuff. Thanks for all the help!

so now if you are after something that not only looks at activity for one user, it looks at activity for multiple users, you would be using a super forum key. depending on if you needed to look at individual activities for members would determine if it would need a user key or super user key.
