Forum URL: confidentialtricks.comhello! We just migrated from a forum that had a button where they could see all posts that they haven't read yet. How do I set this up in my new proboards forum? Users are complaining about this... Thanks!

Hi,
Clicking on the Recent Posts link in the Forum Information & Statistics box will show all of the most recent posts made on the forum. Unfortunately at this time there's no section of the forum that filters them specifically based on whether or not that specific user has read them.

Hi, Clicking on the Recent Posts link in the Forum Information & Statistics box will show all of the most recent posts made on the forum. Unfortunately at this time there's no section of the forum that filters them specifically based on whether or not that specific user has read them. That's a shame. Is there any plugin that can do this? Or any chance of this feature getting built? Also, is there a way to get a Recent Posts button at the top, maybe near the Participated button?

I'll label this as a feature request as it definitely sounds like a useful feature to have. A plugin wouldn't be able to accomplish this as they can only edit what's on the current page. You can add new buttons to your menu via Settings > Forum Settings > Navigation in your admin area. Adding a recent posts button with the URL /posts/recent will link to that same page.

How we doing with this feature? No developers have responded to this thread, so it's at the same point it was at a month ago. A feature request would need to be accepted before it would be worked on. When we label threads as feature requests that's only to give our developers an easy way to find them when they're looking for new features. It does not indicate that the feature has been accepted.

Best i have found so far is to use /threads/recent as a custom button called new posts. Will look to change that if you guys get anything developed. Works ok

gibo read the other thread you posted in, What you are asking for is right there. That feature already exist.I gave Specific directions how you can create a button at the top of the page and name it what you want. And the links is always there at the bottom of the page They aren't gonna add a feature that already exist, there is the participated button that alerts you to new pot in threads you have commented in, and the row of folders down the left side will have the word New on it that appears for every new thread or post since your last visit, and New will remain on them till you look at them
