Forum URL: godus.boards.netThere are a lot of notification options on proboards forums, but I think I am missing something. As admin of a forum I would really like to have the option to be notified of new threads for example. Also I would like to have the option to be subscribed to all threads, even the ones that I haven't participated in myself. I guess you could put this down as a feature request, unless there is already a way to get these options that I am unaware of.

Hey Lord Ba'al, This one would indeed be a feature request, as it's not possible right now to notified of all new threads/activity on a forum. This is a concept that's rather highly requested, so our devs will definitely consider this one for the future.

I would like to put my 2 cents in for this mod as well. Coming from PHPBB, I very much miss the subscribe to boards ability which would Email notifications that there are new messages. As a support forum I need to know quickly that there are new posts to view.

Although there hasn't been any progress on this request that I'm aware of, I did want to quickly mention that every forum comes equipped with an RSS feed -- this can be reached via the "RSS Feed" link in the info center on the bottom of the page -- whose URL can be plugged into any RSS feed-based service out there. Some services also include notifying you via e-mail when it's updated, so that might be something to look into for those of us that have a need to be notified right away of new threads.

There are options in your profile to be notified if there is a new thread....if this does not work, then why are the options there? This is an important feature and one I hope will be added soon.

There aren't currently any options to configure a notification for every new thread -- only when a thread you have bookmarked is updated, or a thread you've participated in is updated (however, that one comes in a once-daily e-mail digest).

I guess I'd like to weigh in with my support for a subscriptions or notification feature. I had a user ask me for that just a couple of days ago.

Hi guys,
This one is pretty high up on our feature list right now.

I am guessing there have been no new developments in the area of notifications?

This is something that will require a few large-scale changes behind the scenes, Lord Ba'al, so it's not likely you'll hear about this feature being included until those are able to take place. It's still high on our priority list, though, so hang tight and keep checking back on the dev blog.
