Me again
I'd LOVE if there was an option in theme settings to host jquery or css files on proboards servers if possible?

Hi, Boy_Wonder. You can already place them inside the Javascript and CSS components of a plugin.

loki and Brian, while this is an alternative, what if these codes are meant for a premade theme and need to be exported with a theme? I'm interested in having an option for this as well, as I often host larger javascript codes from my dropbox as not to junk up the forum wrapper and confuse users.

Also you can't always easily plop them straight in the theme coding - case in point with the bxSlider used on Prae that you have to host the files for it to work, but its not plugin material. It's things like that where I'm not making a plugin but using a jquery and css slider code etc.

Hi guys,
Unfortunately I don't see this as a feature that is likely to be added because it's one that a smaller portion of the ProBoards userbase would make use of/know about, but I can still add the feature request label to flag it for our devs to check out later on if you'd like.

If you can, I know right now that I'm using dropbox and I'm not sure if using a plugin space to place the bxslider jquery and css and image files would work but I'm also not sure how well the dropbox bandwidth will play out

Theoretically, Boy_Wonder, if you're just working with a JQuery library and a .css file, you should be able to create a new plugin, place a JavaScript component in that plugin where you paste the library's code, then create a CSS component and paste the contents of the .css file and that should work.

For now, I have the feature request label applied to this thread for our devs.
