I wish, but unfortunately I have no time to be able to even design a concept let alone an actual full design (and try code it too).

The choice is to pick one of the themes. For example, you could pick flat. Or you could pick modern. It's not "all of the above in one theme"

We wanted to give some options for people to choose from.

You're kidding right? I would definitely say your designs are flat, clean and modern... the only category from the above they (in my opinion) do not fit, is corporate. So, I'd say definitely stick with your current style, and it should fit perfectly - it'd combine 75%.

You're kidding right? I would definitely say your designs are flat, clean and modern... the only category from the above they (in my opinion) do not fit, is corporate. So, I'd say definitely stick with your current style, and it should fit perfectly - it'd combine 75%.

Haha, guess it depends on the definition of the categories. Modern always changes so it's a bit iffy and flat... what does that really mean? No shadows? Clean... I think of a design that has little to it. Lol, so it's weird!

Also, everything is done but the Information Center. I'm lost... scared. I've done like five different sketches and all are crap. *sighs* I was hoping to finish this tonight!

Flat is simplistic in nature. No gradients, shadows can be used if they aren't blurred, bold colors used in tandem with each other, etc. High contrast is a big thing with flat design too; having a nice white background with some fun colors is a good example of flat design. Flat design is the exact opposite of skeuomorphism (what pre iOS 7 was), without all the bevels and shadows and depth-of-field tricks and use of busy patterns (like wood paneling for example).

I'd consider your (@@khristian) to be a mix of clean and modern, and in some cases flat as well. I agree with Stinky666 that your style is not quite corporate because you're used to doing stuff for RPGs where corporate is most definitely not the effect you're wanting.

My mini-profile would be an example of all three of the styles (sans the drop-shadow on my name I suppose).

The best way to demonstrate flat web design, as well as corporate, would be to honestly google images for examples, such as: Flat Web Design or add a simple word to the end (inspiration) to get other results - Flat Web Design Inspiration.

Of course, spice it up by getting "top inspirations" by switching to 'web' instead of images - one example being: www.awwwards.com/websites/flat-design/

It's quite literally the era we are in right now for web design, at least for the majority - corporate.

Ah, okay. Well- I already finished my design so Googling now would be beyond the point.

Sorry, I wasn't clear -- is there a restriction on the plugins we can use on the theme design?

Also, is it possible to get the ads back on my test forum? :X I would like to make sure I incorporate them.
