Hi, it is possible to exclude a set of IPs from statistics?
If not, could be a feature request?
I suppose the idea will be see stats with excluded IPs and without them.
Thanks

You mean the analytics page? There aren't any IP's listed on that page, unless you're using an IP as an acronym for something other than IP addresses?

But, the fact they are not listed, does not prevent you to filter by IP in the background, is not it?
I mean you can have a checkbox like:
X exclude "excluded" IPs and then, the stats engine when storing in database could store if the hit is from an excluded IP and use this info when rendering.
You do not need to show the IPs in the stats chart or store hits by IP in the stats DB tables, just store if the hit is from an excluded IP or not.

yes, specially admin and staff users
if there is any possibility to exclude admin and staff instead by IP would be also valid
actually, in that case you would not need to collect IPs
.....even members from visitors
Basically what I want to distinguish is what kind of user (admin, staff, member, visitor) is creating the hits. Maybe it would be possible a hack at client side, I do not know....

Options like excluding staff members from the analytics data are things that we're considering in the future!

Ok, thats the answer then, thanks
update: in the meantime a very easy enhancement could be, optionally passing a flag, from web page to server, indicating if this page hit should be counted or not in the stats. This would give to the admin the flexibility to do some quick fix at client side, e.g. by user type or by IP or whichever..... All these kind of requests could be then solved at client side with a few lines of JS (until server side enhancement is available). Just an idea
