Forum URL: stoneshore.boards.net/For some reason users who use Firefox are having issues on our site and I'm not sure why. One of the admins who uses it finds that most of the time when she posts something her coding doesn't align right or the code in general doesn't work, and it's an issue that other users on the site don't have. For something in code tags, pasting it (into BBCode!) makes it all bunch together (imagine StyleTags [nospaces] tag being used). There've been a few advertisers who've posted their codes and it hasn't worked right. One just before posted and regardless of whether it was in preview or BB editor it still looked like code, even when there was actually nothing wrong with the coding itself, it just didn't work. I asked the person who posted the ad and they confirmed they also use Firefox. I have no idea why Firefox users are having so many issues on our forum. Any ideas? What am I missing here? I've never heard of this happening before.

Is this something that's just started happening, or has it been a problem for awhile? I ask because I think Firefox just installed an update.

The site is new. We've only been going for about 2 weeks now, so I can't really answer that...

Just asked the fellow admin on Stoneshore who has the issue - she says it started happening on a different site around the summer, and she didn't have those issues before that. But the one who posted the advert and uses FF said before he's never seen it happen before.

It may also be worthwhile, while you're doing that, rileyrykov, to recommend that anyone who doesn't have the latest release of Firefox upgrade to the newest version, as that can potentially play a part.

Okay, the promised screenshots! When our admin FF user copies and pastes the application code it bunches together like this very reminiscent of [nospaces] and earlier we tested it by adding [break] tags and it worked for her. And this is what happened when the FF guest advertiser posted: It looks correct code-wise, but isn't actually working.

It looks like the code in use on that post has had some spaces/line breaks inserted where they shouldn't have been, rileyrykov - for example you can see that the [img breaks off on a new line because there are additional spaces in the code -- this is what's causing them to break. I see the same on my copy of Chrome, for example.

On a different site (mine) I asked both to post their codes again to see what happened. The ad worked fine on there: amagicalhogwarts.proboards.com/thread/4292/blue-ridge-riding-academybut the user posting the app had the same issue: amagicalhogwarts.proboards.com/thread/4293/testand she finds it happens on most sites she posts on: somberfalls.proboards.com/thread/501/testYet if she tries a different browser then it works okay, the issue is only on Firefox. She also finds that justify tags often mess up and they look like left aligned posts, however when you go into them it's actually split each part into different lines eg. Some text here that is supposed to be justified but is split into sections with no reason in the middle of sentences. Very randomly done - only it takes up more width that this. But it's not normal.

If this is something that can be reliably reproduced, would it be possible for you to try it another time with all plugins disabled? I'm seeing more than a couple that look like they take effect on the posting page, so it would be worth ruling out.
