Hi there QuozzoI have decided that I will use one or the other of these plug ins and will let the members decide which one they prefer, I'm a bit wary of the conflict of the 2 causing problems elsewhere, they are both great features BTW Thank you to you and Boy_Wonder for your help |

Hi Q. I've been enjoying using the thread icons plugin you made. Thank you! However I just installed the recently updated threads sidebar and the icons show up as [ti]name there. Hoping this is an easy fix.  -EDIT- Figured it out. Had to add #recentthreads as that's where the item is located. Thanks again for making the icon plugin! |

Well I got it to work. But it still won't load on the homepage. Only on boards. Suggestions? www.kldp.tk/So it will load on boards and also when I click the new-participated threads button. But it won't load automatically on the homepage. Seeing if I can't put together a javascript to rectify the issue. Say click and unclick the recent participated threads on page load. |

I paid someone to write the javascript I'll post in the bottom. To make the icons show up in the recent threads sidebar (+sidebar redux) with the shoutbox this javascript had to be added to the header. In the boards the icons showed up. However on the homepage the icons wouldn't show up until the refresh button on the shoutbox(not a full page refresh) or the new participated threads button were pressed. So I needed a script to hit the refresh button on the shoutbox as soon as the homepage loaded. Here's the script. Courtesy of Haywire from Wizpert.com <- First time I ever used that site. Hi matholameu. I've never used the sidebar code before so i dont know hot it works. Give me some time to shift through it and i will find out why the icons dont appear. Have you tried moving the icons plugin to the bottom of list?

Just as a note, if your script is doing this: So I needed a script to hit the refresh button on the shoutbox as soon as the homepage loaded. That, I believe, is in violation of ProBoards ToS - as it's not a user-initiated action. |

Oh no are you serious! >.< All it does it refresh the shoutbox so the icons show up. It's not hurting anything or anyone.  I hope this isn't a huge deal. Yes I had it at the bottom of the list and that didn't help anything Q. But thank you for the reply. It is working right now. I hope NOT in violation of the TOS. :/ |

Love this..using it on here: hollowhills.freeforums.net/board/12However I'm running into the problem that it's only supposed to be enabled for one board and despite having that one board as the only one selected in the Enabled in boards section, it's showing up on other boards as well as an option to members. Any way to fix this? |

I hate to do this as I wish everything was now fixed but it doesn't seem like much of anything is. Even in notifications I still see the codes as in this one:I like to share some posts on facebook and twitter and it looks really bad there as you can see:![]() I really don't want to quit using this, but the only way I can prevent them sharing that way is to take the time to edit the thread, choose no icon, and save changes and then share it, only to come back and put the icon back on it, and that's just way too much to do with every single thread I want to share. Of course it's the same no matter who shares the thread from my board.
I'm afraid I don't know what else to do other then to disable it until the time comes when it's updated again. I'm not sure how to find out when that happens, so I guess I'll just have to keep coming back here every once in awhile to check. Thanks for everything you tried to do though. I really do appreciate it.
I understand. My next version will use a key instead of including the ti code in the header of threads. I've got a lot on my plate though so I'm not sure when I will even get around to starting it. Just as an addendum, The news ticker should be fixed, if not it's an easy one. |
