any way I can make some of the icons only usable by staff? Like can I add in CSS for whatever icon id I call one and have that specific one only show up if you're an admin?

Hi. I really liked this plugin, except when I try to make a widget of recent topics, the icons don't load and instead display BBCode where they should be. I had to disable the plugin, and then every topic had the BBcode still there. Is there a way to remove it without editing each and every topic? I do like this plugin, I just can't use it with widgets created elsewhere.

U should ask for support for your widget. U cannot hide his code without editing each thread.

I am also experiencing the issue where although only one board is selected to use the Thread Icons plugin, the option to select a thread icon actually appears on all boards. Is there a fix for this?

I've updated the code so that it works when selecting a specific board. It's been approved v1.1.1 in the library.

I'm having some sort of conflict between the following two plugins:


Quozzo's "Topic Icons"

and 

Wormopolis's "Custom Thread Titles"

So I'm going to post this post on BOTH help threads... First one to help wins! (just kidding, help is appreciated by anyone that can).

I had plugin "Topic Icons" already installed, and it was working appropriately. Then I came across "Custom Thread Titles", thought it would be cool too, so I installed it.

Once set up, The Topic Icons disappeared from the topics list page for several test threads created AFTER installation (the one created before installation still has it's icon). Even without ANY title customization, the icons are still gone. They show up in the links bar at the top of the individual thread's page... but not on the list page.

So, I thought to myself "which do I want more, icons or styling?" I chose Icons (sorry, Wormopolis, nothing personal). So I deleted the "Custom Thread Titles" plugin.

Unfortunately that didn't solve the problem. I still can't get new Thread Icons in new threads.


Any help would be greatly appreciated!

RichardInTN I've installed the other plugin but I'm not seeing the issue. Both the Thread Icons and Custom Thread Titles appear to play nicely with one another.

Could you give a link where the problem occurs and give the steps you took to create the issue.

Here's a link to my board (currently running WITHOUT the "Custom Thread Titles" plugin even existing): buildinggreatness.proboards.com/board/1/general-discussion

The topmost test thread has a question mark that's SUPPOSED to appear before it... yet it doesn't. (but the question mark DOES appear on the main page {this was that last thread created in the subforum, so shows as "most recent thread"}, as well as if you open the thread, the question mark does appear in the link bar just below the menu bar. It does NOT appear on the title bar of the thread (right above the first post) though.

Ohhh... forgot "the steps".

Step 1: Installed "Thread Icons", ran it and tested it for a few days (including adding three icons: a spinning exclamation point, a spinning question mark, and a spinning globe), worked perfectly every day. No problems.

Step 2: Came across "Custom Thread Titles", thought it would be cool, installed it.

Step 3: Made a test post. Test post had the issue of no icon showing up, but the older thread with an exclamation point that was made prior to "CTT" installation still had it's icon.

Step 4: Deleted "Custom Thread Titles", no Icon issue still present.

Step 5: Deleted thread (figured maybe it was something in the actual title that had been converted). Re-posted thread. Still no Icon.

Step 6: did "hard re-boot" of the window AND cleared cache. Problem still persists.

Also tried (just now) deleting "Thread Icons" plugin (including all data), and then reinstalling it. Didn't help.

Just noticed something when I loaded the page... the [ti]question[/ti] (where "question" is the name of the icon in the icon's list, housed in the settings of the plugin) does show up, but then gets removed from being displayed, as if it never existed.

Just had an idea (I thought "Maybe it's the question mark that's glitching things") So I tried a new thread with an exclamation point (that I know already/still works)... Nope. NO exclamation point on the newest thread... even though there's one on a thread from before I first added the other plugin.

Bump with a Quozzo in it... so Quozzo knows I replied... 


ETA: forgot to do this in earlier replies. Didn't think about the fact that Quozzo has a life and might not be following this thread every five seconds. My apologies for that, dude. I appreciate the assist.
