Greetings and goodday to all,
I have no idea if this has been done already or if there is a way but I suggest a plugin that will allow one to move posts up or down in it's thread. I know a post can be moved to another thread but I do not if a post can be moved to specific place in it's thread.
Thank you,

Plugins can only manipulate the page currently being viewed and use the data available from that same page, so once a post falls off the bottom onto the next page of the thread it can no longer seen by the plugin, and so can not be repositioned. Sorry.

Actually Peter has made a plugin but it works within the specific page, if you're interested I can try and hunt it up

I thought that since posts could be moved from thread to thread or board to board, it would be a fairly simple matter to nudge it up in the page. Ah well. Anyway, yes, if you could show me the plugin, Boy_Wonder, I'd be very grateful.

Anyway, yes, if you could show me the plugin, Boy_Wonder, I'd be very grateful. When the forum moves the posts they're legitimately moved and grouped with the data that produces that thread within the forum's database. Like Todge said, plugins work entirely off of HTML, CSS, and Javascript and thus can only edit the page itself after it's been loaded in your browser as opposed to the forum fetching that data directly from the database before the page loads or before a page change. The lack of database access is why a lot of plugin requests end up being denied. It's simply not possible to fetch data from the forum that's not currently on the page.
