TodgeThis script will keep updating the count in real time and on its own, correct? I'm not sure why there are options for resetting/updating members' thread counts if it's supposed to update the count after threads are created. Is this potentially to account for threads created on mobile devices when the script isn't running? Or will the count correct itself the next time the individual is on a computer? Partly, yes... The thread count should be increased everytime a member creates a thread, but as you say, this will not currently work if a thread is created on a mobile device. The plugin will check the actual count to that which the key holds whenever it can, and will display the 'reset' message if the count is wrong. It does this because it is not allowed to write data to a key without a user operation, the pop-up message is simply a way of creating a user operation. When the reset message is clicked the key will be updated.

Hey there, TodgeThis site: meta-rpg.boards.net is experiencing some issues. When you register a new account, it immediately tells you that your thread count is wrong and needs to be reset. I don't remember it doing that every time someone registered for the first time before, considering I think the plugin used to know that a brand-new account has 0 threads? But that isn't the main issue. The main issue is that the last popup where you are supposed to hit "OK" and finish the process, the "OK" button doesn't close the popup. So the user has to realize that they need to refresh the page on their own in order to move on. Here's a screenie of the popup that won't close, and feel free to make any test accounts you need to experience the error on the site! It isn't open yet, so testing is fine. (btw the theme is in a complete WIP phase, so ignore that horror show xD)

Alright, I installed it! Seems to be working, all the OKs let me through. Thank you for such a quick fix! =D I appreciate it!
Is it correct that it has me reset my threads every time I make a new account? I imagine it should recognize that the account is brand-new and thus doesn't have any threads to set? I could've sworn in the past it didn't do it for every new registration, it only did it for random old accounts that somehow got out of sync?

If a new account is created you should get a pop-up saying 'Your thread count has not yet been set.....', you then have the option to set it it, or to ignore it. Ignoring it will mean that you will get the pop-up again later on though.

I installed this on my test site and everywhere I go I get a blank popup with a button that says "not right now" see attachment That pop-up is meant to say.. Your threads count has not yet been set. Please click here to correct this. Have you changed your text to white across your forum by chance? You cen get over this by adding this to your forums' Style Sheet #thread_alert, #thread_alert_2 { background-color: #aaaaaa!important } Change the #aaaaaa to a color of your choice.

HI! I have version 0.2.3 installed on this forum: onlinescalemodelers.proboards.com/It works fine, except when I go to the Members page. There, it shows two columns for Threads. When I click to go to the next page, it adds two more columns. It does the same thing every time I go to the next page. When this happens, it jumbles up everything on the Members page. Thanks for any help on this situation.

Will I need to reset all the thread counts after I load the new version?

Hi, Todge. I don't find 0.2.4 in the plug-in library. Just 0.2.3.

BUCKY the version 0.2.4 from Todge, is in his dropbox link in his last post, not in the library.

Thanks, Nscalerr! I'll check it out later today. I'm not familiar with the Dropbox thing. Do I need to download it to the computer, then install it to the forum?

Yes, download to the computer to somewhere easy to remember, then install on your forum. Also, ignore the login box that comes up on dropbox, the file downloads anyway, (or did for me).
