Is there a limit to the number of pages in thread?

Hi, I am creating a big reference thread, and I got to strange problems around Page 17.

Is there a limit to the number of pages in a thread?

I've tried to edit posts on Page 17, and it says that they cannot be found.
Yet, sometimes, I see them appear.

Ghost posts?

Or, is there a page limit to a thread?

There is no limit to the number of pages in a thread.

We have threads with over 400 pages / 30 posts per page.


I'm not sure what the problem is you're experiencing, but it's not due to the number of pages.

ProBoards' admins will return 9 am PST.

Since you said some posts, could you cite one post which is definitely providing that error

Prespos, we have a thread on our board that is currently at 4,488 pages (134,620 posts) with no issue.

If posts seem to be appearing/disappearing at the end of a thread then usually there is a post cache issue. This is a very rare occurrence (I see maybe one or two a year out of thousands of support questions) where the post cache bugs causing the last few posts (usually on the last page) to not display even though you know they're there! Generally making another post or two (of anything, you could just smash your hand on the keyboard and hit post) corrects the issue. Either way let us know if this happens or continues to happen to you!
