Mmmm. Don't know where I saw that code, but it's not important.
Yes, you would simply change that CSS code for positioning the type inside of the speech bubble.

It got me thinking that I was talking about the wrong code. That'll take a while to get it so it's just right. I'm a perfectionist. I just hope that it can actually go into an image. I don't think my CSS skills are that "advanced".

You'll be able to do it. Trial and error. You can't mess anything up.
I just realized I had another forum opened that I was adding one of my themes to. I probably clicked on that source code instead of yours.
It's late and I'm tired.
And BTW, I still cannot find your "welcome" board or announcements. They really seem to be well hidden.

And, besides, the beauty of it is: if I do mess anything up, I'll be the only one who really knows, right? Considering guests and members probably think that it's something that was a meant to be done. I think I'll wait on the trial and error thing until you give me the image, though, so I know exactly what I'm working with. I don't want to move the bar and then have to end up doing more work in the end. But no rush, as I am still working on my other projects. Please don't feel like you have to rush to get it done. I've done that! I get so red-faced! I am, too, but I want to get this theme finished because I'm working on a few with a friend of mine and, once this theme is done, I'm going to be using it as a "base" for other themes - keeping the diamonds and such, just changing the background so if people don't like the colors of the one I'm working on now, but they like the other functionalities, they will have those, just different color schemes. I'm so excited! I'm like a kid in a candy store!

Of course. I wouldn't want you to change the code without the image. That wouldn't work. You'd only be guesstimating.
Now, calm down. No more sugar for the night!
Sleep well.

Heh, yeah. I'm a bad guesstimator! Nope, no sugar for me. My pediatric dentist a few years ago made me afraid to even look at a piece of candy... I thought I'd get a cavity just by looking at it! - funny how young minds work. Sleep well, my friend.

Hi, Alan Vende ~
I've redone the small animated diamond adding an additional frame. I like it better. How about you?
And thinking about this, it's probably better to keep the speech bubble as a separate additional image so you can more easily manipulate it's position in relation to the diamond and the type you want to place inside of it.
I've done it in two colors for you ~
And a transparent one!

Hey, ♥ ℒʊ√ ♥ ! I love all of the animations that ou did. It's hard to choose! (Seriously, I do - they're amazing! ) It's so, so hard to choose! But, at the moment, the Welcome bar is on a black background, so I think black.

All of the images are all yours.
I did the transparent speech bubble so it can pick up whatever color may be in your banner in other themes. It will give you lots of options if the black and white don't quite fit.
And thank you for your kind words. Much appreciated.

And thank you for your kind words. Much appreciated. I was kind of thinking out loud there, heh. But you gave me the option between the black and the white. They're both colors of Source energy (to relate it to the theme of my forum), so I could go either way. (Sorry, just going off of the two speech bubbles that you put in the post.) Thank you again for doing this.

Not a problem.
I really wanted to put that additional frame in the animation anyway!
You're very welcome.

I just thought of something - CSS is how I'm to put the two together, right? I thought you were going to do the diamond with the bubble and put them together as one image. Sorry for the mis-thinking there! Thanks again, ♥ ℒʊ√ ♥.

You're not mis-thinking, Alan Vende . That was my first train of thought when I first made the suggestion.
But as I got into incorporating the bubble in the same image with the diamond, I realized three things.
1) Shrinking the speech bubble and diamond down to 100x100 would make the speech bubble extremely small.
2) Positioning the bubble as a separate image would be far easier to do along with positioning the type inside of it.
3) It's still trial and error and we may need to make the bubble larger/smaller once you get it in place.

Oh, I see how your thought pattern was - those questions came in my mind, too, since the header is only 110px, from what you said earlier in the thread.
Also, I'd assume that the width of the Welcome banner as it is from a guest point of view to what it is from a member's point of view would have to be taken into consideration, right?
I say that partly because I added "- Inbox: # | New: #" after the Welcome, $[current.user.name] variable.

Now, that's something I never thought about since I've never done such a thing.
My members and guests see the same thing ~ except where individual members can use the PB options provided to hide specific information from guests.
I try not to make too many changes like that.
First and foremost because template changes don't work in mobile. So I don't do a lot of extraordinary coding for functionality.
And I remember what happened when v4 went to v5 and most of the coding hacks no longer worked. That may happen in v6! Who knows?
That may be a Waterloo you've created there. I really don't know how you'll work around that.
