Now, that's something I never thought about since I've never done such a thing.
My members and guests see the same thing ~ except where individual members can use the PB options provided to hide specific information from guests.
I try not to make too many changes like that.
First and foremost because template changes don't work in mobile. So I don't do a lot of extraordinary coding for functionality.
And I remember what happened when v4 went to v5 and most of the coding hacks no longer worked. That may happen in v6! Who knows?
That may be a Waterloo you've created there. I really don't know how you'll work around that.
Yeah, you're right. And, truth be told - I don't really know why I put it there as I'm not sure if my members really noticed that it was there. It was on another forum (that has since been shut down) and I liked it at the time, so I thought I would put it on my forum to see how it worked. No one said they liked it, but at the same time, no one said that they didn't like it, either. See my dilemma there, too?

Lol, no not really!!!!
Remember, you can't please everyone all of the time. If you try, you'll drive yourself nutz.
Believe it or not, even with all of my themes, (and you know how many there are), I'm using only 30MBs of the 50MB storage space PB provides because I keep the storage space of each very limited. I could double the number I have now and probably still not use all of that storage.

I mean in whether to take it off or not - considering I don't even know if people know it's there. You're right, you can't. I'm sure that you have some people who say that some of your themes aren't good, right? I'm sure that I have some people who say the same of me. No matter how many people like something, there is always at least one person who doesn't, right? 30mbs?? Woah! And that's over a seven year period... Wow!

Actually, no. We only had about 9 themes in v4. They weren't as much fun to do then. And I scrapped all of them when we went to v5.
Themes are like art. It's subjective. So I enjoy making things that please me, or may not please me, but will please others. I prefer lighter backgrounds, but I make dark ones, too. And then we have the very plain top three options for those who want nothing. So all of those themes were made in a 2 1/2 year period!!!! And as I said, I could double the amount I have and still not use the storage space PB graciously allows. But even if I did that, I don't expect to please everybody. It's just not possible. You can walk into a restaurant that has hundreds and hundreds of options and they'll still be that one person who doesn't see anything he likes. That's just life.
So the way I see it, you can remove the code and see what members say. Or you can keep it and hope to position the images in such a way, that it works on both member and guest view. I would do the latter first, so you can keep your code and then go from there.
