Hi, mariannemarlow ~
You should ask your members to enable ProBoard's ad debugger tool in an attempt to reproduce the redirect, if that's what's happening.
support.proboards.com/post/6600583
The information they copy from the ad debugging tool will help ProBoards track down which ad caused the redirect.
Also, you can report ads by following the directions in this link.

Just a note, ♥ ℒʊ√ ♥: I don't think they use the ad debugger tool anymore. Going to that post and clicking the link just gives me a new link to go to the ad reporting tool. Just thought I'd let you know.

Thank you, I have told the users about the ad reporting tool.
Is there anything else that can be done?

A user on my forum filled out the ad reporting tool and got this
"I filled out and sent the report Marianne. This is what came back:-
Attention required! The system has interpreted your activity or connection to this page as suspicious. If you believe you've received this message wrongly, this may simply be a false positive caused by an error on our end, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Hi Were they able to complete the challenge to regain access, or try again. Or do they get that warning every time? I have labelled this for the attention of the ProBoards staff. They will be online later today, although unfortunately not until 16:00 GMT. In the meanwhile, your member could try clearing the cache and cookies in their browser, as it may be a rouge cookie which is causing the redirect to happen. If they get the redirect, let us know, and if possible, find out what phone and browser they are using, the network they are on and their general location, as this, in the absence of the ad report, should hopefully help the ProBoards team track any problem ads down.

Hi, mariannemarlow. Do they get the suspicious activity/connection message every time they fill out the ad reporting tool or did it only occur once?

One user has said that since she cleared her cookies she has not had the problem again but I have asked her the question above.

The problem is back She said " I had it all day yesterday, I filled out the ad report this morning and cleared the cache and cookies and it seemed to sort it for a short time, then it appeared again. It only seems to show up when I'm on the forum on my mobile phone" Here is a screen print

As recommended before please have them report this ad if possible as this will send us a report with the exact ad you received.

I get this on my test board quite a bit. I honestly just stopped using ProBoards from my mobile. The ads hijack and you cannot even open the ad debugger because you're redirected away. It's even more annoying when it spams open app store.

Our success rate on stopping a misbehaving ad reported using our current version of the ad report tool is 100%.
If you do not report it, we don't know about it and can't stop them.
